Bit rich to blame Assberry for Cox in the prelim. Dave was sick as a dog and Cox flogged every opponent he had, which was Rance for most of the night just quietly.

You are right he was sick, had spent time in hospital leading up to the game.

He shouldn't have played. No ifs, buts or maybes

Stupidly the club left the call to him and he told them he was right to play. Which meant we were down a player before the game started.

Throw in his finger pointing in round 2 and it highlights how poor he's been sinve Rance went down

Astbury has been super poor this season but so has our entire defensive system. Hopefully they’re just taking a bit of time to adjust without having rancey down there.
Grimes and Vlastuin have been fantastic this year and imo Broad hasn’t been far behind.
Obviously we are missing Rance and he would have kept Cameron to only a couple last week but unfortunately Dave has been the weak link.

Grimes was BOG last night for mine.

Also how good has Edwards been as a back flanker in the past couple of games.

INS: Dusty, Houli (no jack because od the short turnaround to the ANZAC Eve game)

OUTS: Menadue, Castagna

Martin in
George out

Menadue could come out should Houli be fir but he would be stiff as he played a great game yesterday  :clapping

i think everyone knows that in reality there is no doubt that Dimma would drop  Baker before Castagna....so why bother throwing up Castagna as an out if you're not nominating Baker first?

Anyone know what the issue is with Riewoldt's knee?

In his post presser, Dimma said Jack was a chance to play against the Swans. But when pressed by a journalist, he said it was JAck's knee, not his wrist, which was the concern.

First I had heard he had a knee issue.

In the Collingwood game, Riewoldt mentioned that he thought he did his ACL, not sure when it happened, but I think it ended up being a medial strain.

In the Mix - Round 5

RICHMOND

Get them in: Brownlow medallist Dustin Martin is now available after suspension, while experienced defender Bachar Houli looks likely to return from a three-week hamstring strain. Small forward Dan Butler had 17 disposals and kicked 1.2 in the VFL after being dropped.

Under the pump: A well-rounded effort against Port Adelaide means some tough decisions will have to be made to make room for Martin and Houli. He didn't have a horror game by any stretch, but as the last player in, Connor Menadue may be the first out. Jack Graham was the quietest of the Tiger mids, but still had 14 touches.

Medical room: After a horror run this year, the Tigers got through an AFL match unscathed. Flanker Oleg Markov tore his right meniscus in the VFL and will miss six to eight weeks. Jack Riewoldt is pushing to return from a wrist injury, but with a four-day break between rounds five and six, is unlikely to feature.

Verdict: Two changes for the Tigers, with Houli for Menadue the clearest. Graham could be the unlucky mid to make way for Martin, while Shai Bolton and Liam Baker did enough to hold out Dan Butler for another week.

In Martin (to play mostly forward). Leave Ross in the guts.
Out Baker

I really liked Bolton & Menadue games for us and Baker very stiff to miss.  If they want to keep the speed drop Graham.

Leave Houli & Reiwoldt for Wednesday night against the Dees.

Graham needs a speel in vfl will do him good.Only things that save George is his pressure which for me not good enough just to be in side.

Dustin Martin and Bachar Houli are back and ready to give the Tigers a significant boost.

Two players would be unlucky to be left out after last week’s win but expect Connor Menadue to be one of the players making way.

The injury-hit Tigers will regain Dustin Martin from suspension and most likely Bachar Houli from a hamstring problem for Saturday night’s meeting with Sydney at Marvel Stadium.

Jack Riewoldt and Trent Cotchin are set to return four days later for the Anzac Eve clash with Melbourne.
