Hooray we finally got a goal
.
Ellis got it.
Rich 8.11-59
Melb 5.5-35
Apparently we've had 23 of the last 26 inside 50s.
Ch 7 says it's Jack's knee.

Our backline has been brilliant tonight. Won so many contests.
George on the wing gets 50. Goal!
He has 3 now.

Great handball through the legs by Ross to Baker who finds Nank on the lead 40 out. Off hands for a point.

Good forward pressure causes the turnover. Ross' snap misses.

If we don't take these chances against the top teams will be in trouble.

I’m not as down on the performance as most here. Controlled the entire game, dominated the territory battle, tackling and pressure were great. Obviously we could have been cleaner and our entries inside 50 needs improvement and helps that Melbourne are pee poor atm.
Youngsters continue to impress, Baker and Stack (that bump
) are jets and I thought balta did really well against Gawn in the ruck second half after struggling in the first.
If everyone pulls up ok I can’t see a player being dropped with Cotchin still a couple of weeks away.
Think shedda needs the captaincy back

It wasn't pretty but still impressive.
Melbourne gifted their only two goals after quarter time - one by us.. The other by the umps.
Sydney Stack - I love him.

Interesting stat from the game tonight.
We laid 76 tackles for the game, and only 3 Tigers failed to lay a tackle.
Grimes
Broad
Astbury
Amazing to think that none of our key back men had to lay a tackle.
