Naish deep in defence goes long to Markov on the wing. Runs and 4 bounces all the way inside 50 but his shot on the run hits the post.

That's why Butler is on the outer. Gets himself in the clear and then does a stupid poor cute short chip kick to no one.

Pickett kicks it inside 50. Aarts held in the contest and gets the free for a trip. Goal!  :gotigers

3 to Aarts.

Balta out of position in a 1-vs-1 running back saves a certain goal.

Then Garth gets the touch on the line.

Then Coffield runs down a Blue 15 out. Another goal saved.

We've dropped away in our intensity and been sloppy in the midfield. Another goal to the Blues.

Another to the Blues.

94 - 57

Disposals 3rd qtr: 67 - 88

All about a drop in workrate and sloppy disposal. Another example just then. Kick to Butler 35 out falls short.

We've allowed the Blues 17 scoring shots from just 28 inside 50s. When they do get it forward they are getting scoring chances far too easily. I'd guess that happens when playing a high defensive press.

Team Stats to 3/4 time:

Disposals:  257 - 224
Contested: 106 - 86
Clearances:  21 - 26
Inside 50s:   47 - 28

Blues won the disposals, contested footy, contested marks and inside 50s that qtr.

McRae wants us to go more direct and prevent the Blues getting easy uncontested marks.

Markov to CCJ 60 out. Finds Butler wide. Goes to the top of the square and it's spoiled for a throw-in.

Good pressure and hands in close. CCJ to Silvestro to English for the first of the last qtr  :gotigers.

Butler :facepalm.

Running towards goal and again with the chip sideways to no one (this one straight to a Blue defender).
