Pickett doesnt deserve a call up based on his performance in the reserves

Ah no
Wasn’t clearly classes above
Didn’t understand defensive set up at times when off half back , that’s why he is playing to learn
One thing for certain Tiges need to improve to beat West Coast next week.

I’m not calling for Ross to go out based on his performance but more for team balance. Kids got a very bright future but I’d rather keep the likes of Bolton in to run through the middle who offers genuine X factor to add to the grunt work of cotch dusty Prestia graham etc.

Can we drop both Ellis and short and still have enough outside run is the question. If so then I would go:

Out: chol, short, ellis
In: balta, cotch, dusty

Btw I can’t see how people are calling for baker to be dropped unless they think his replacement balances the team better. Just seems like there’s a couple every week who no matter what he does call for him to be dropped.

Can see your perspective there re Ross. He'd be stiff though. Don't think either of BElly/Short will be dropped, someone has to make way for the big dogs however.

I'll try again assuming cotchy is back

In Cotchin, Martin, Soldo
Out Chol, Stack, Ross

Ross stiff was very close to B Ellis
Stack will probably stay in

There is some seriously talented players people are suggesting to be dropped which is bloody good thing this time if the year.

The next two weeks will tell a story but as I said earlier I hope Dimma sticks with the guys that got us to here. Regardless of if they were quite on Sunday in a very scrappy game.

My outs if I were coach
-Ross, Bellis

My ins
-Dusty, Cotch

Not a bad couple of ins!!

I would like to find a way to get McIntosh back in and the only other one I think has struggled is Short, although I think he was better on the weekend.

He only got the footy 15 times at reserves level. If he can get that to 25 to 30 times then ok but 15 possies ar reserves level isnt good enough for a senior call up.

I have my own view. If a player only gets it 15 times at reserves level then that is not enough to get a senior call up. Pickett needs to show that he can find the footy. Its that simple.

No it really isn't that simple and surely you can't be either...he's not a Tim Kelly type high a possession player and never has been...averaged < 20 in the WAFL - we knew that when we drafted him and so did all the other clubs who would've all taken him had he not been injured  -  watch the replay on seven plus taking into account it's third game for the year and second in three months and see why the coaching staff are all desperate to get him into the senior side before the finals..:shh

Correct. Imagine Cyril playing reserves....

If you require 25 possessions plus he'd never have been promoted to the seniors.....  :shh
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.
