England 4/36 at Lunch.

They lost 3/0 in the last 5.1 overs  :lol.

We dropped a couple of chances too. So it could have been even worse for the Poms.

Boland with 2/0. His test bowling average is now 6.1  :o.

Starc and Green with one wicket each.

England 4/135 at Tea.

Stokes very lucky. He should be out but the right stump didn't move and the bail didn't fly off despite the ball Green bowled hitting the stump hard high up :huh.

Well done by Usman.

Had a feeling he'd play well. Form comes and goes but you don't lose your class and he has buckets and that's what you need at test level.

Should win the match today.

Match drawn.

Aussies miss out by just one wicket. Had to bowl spin in the last few overs due to the light. So Anderson didn't have to face our pace bowlers.

England 9/270

Wickets: Boland 3, Cummins 2, Lyon 2, Green 1, Smith 1.

Pat Cummins has announced Marcus Harris has lost his spot in the Test XI, with Usman Khawaja to open the batting in the fifth Ashes Test.

Travis Head will also return to the side, having missed the fourth Test after being diagnosed with COVID.

Meanwhile, Scott Boland will need to pass a fitness test on Thursday afternoon if he is to play the final match of the series beginning on Friday.

England could make as many as five changes for the final Ashes Test in Hobart.

Jos Buttler has already left the country after suffering an injury in Sydney, while opener Haseem Hameed and spinner Jack Leach will also be axed.

The Cricketer is reporting that James Anderson will also be rested, with Chris Woakes expected to take his spot.

Sam Billings will enter the side to keep wicket, while Rory Burns will receive a lifeline at the top of the order.

Ollie Robinson will return from a minor injury.

Ben Stokes is set to play through the pain of a side strain, though Ollie Pope will be on standby to take his spot if required.
