Didn't even know the first test was starting today until I flicked onto Ch 7  :-\.

Aussies 2/293 at stumps. Labuschagne 154*, Smith 59*, Khawaja 65, Warner 5.

Sad to see how far Windies cricket has fallen compared to the powerhouse sides of the 80s.

They actually started well

But as the day went on, in the heat they wilted. They rely on too few.

Aussies 4/598 dec. & 2/182 dec. .... Labuschagne with another century (104 not out).

Windies 283 & 3/192 ..... Lyon with 2 wickets and Starc with the other.

The Windies need 306 more runs to win and of course the Aussies need 7 wickets on the last day.

Cummins injured opens the door for Boland.

My old man very unimpressed with Hazel and Lyon but hard to argue with Lyons 8 wickets.

I'm not a huge Lyon fan either but I thought today is the best he has bowled in a long time

Actually came ot the fore in the 2nd Innings for a change

Gave me a laugh

https://www.timesnownews.com/sports/cricket/shocking-vaughan-slams-pindi-pitch-when-pakistan-batters-make-merry-a-day-after-going-gaga-over-englands-batting-article-95951781

What a pack of nuffies they are. Lots of defensive fans when it was clear as day that the pitch was a flat dusty runway and the Paki bowlers were green as could be.

Victorian quick Scott Boland will replace Pat Cummins for the Second Test in Adelaide after it was confirmed that the Australian skipper had not recovered from a quad strain that he suffered in the opening test in Perth.

Steve Smith will captain the side.
