Cummins has clearly learnt nothing so far...... :facepalm

At least Murphy is in the side

No guarantee he'll get a bowl though

England 3/131 at lunch

Brook 48* (off 41 balls)

They were 0/62 but Aust fought back and had them 3/73. Great spell by Cummins  :clapping

But again 30 minutes of crap leading up to lunch, including Carey dropping a sitter that would have had Brook very cheaply and England is dictating terms again  :banghead

Our field placings again in the 1st half hour were shocking. Happily gifted England single after single  :banghead

Whoever is responsible for that "plan" should be embarrassed

I was flicking between the soccer and the cricket. Took the Aussie bowlers an hour to get the right length. Not sure why Cummins didn't open instead of Hazlewood by the way. But THREE dropped catches (Smith's was the only tough one) just kills you. Especially when Carey who's been good behind the stumps up until now decided to do a Bairstow and drops a sitter going one glove rather than both. Must be the night for Aussie teams to dish up slop  :P.

Aust 1/61 in reply at stumps

Khawaja 24*
Labuschange 2*

Warner 26 - again gets a start and then goes out to ball you'd question did he need to play at.

Our top-middle order went all defensive/negative and caved in meekly again (lost 6 for 94) :facepalm, but thanks to Smith and especially Cummins and Murphy wagging the tail we were able to grab a narrow lead.

Aussies 295 all out at Stumps Day 2. A lead of 12 runs.

Head 4
Marsh 16
Carey 10
Starc 7
Smith 71
Murphy 34
Cummins 36
Hazlewood 6*

The first hour yesterday was simply embarrassing

Not going to blame the Captain for that ridiculous plan. That nonsense falls on the coaches

Eng 1/130 at Lunch.

Well that was rubbish bowling  :P. Aussies looking like a tired team wishing for the end of the series after 6 tests in a row.
