Head saving the day once again  :clapping. Agree TK that Marnus played the team game at the other end holding up an end while Head was going nuts.

Solid 2 day test match lol
:lol

Got to love Bazball  ;D. Only the Poms could go from being on top in a test match to losing two sessions later in under two days :rollin.

At 1:05pm local time on Day 2, England led by 105 runs with nine second innings wickets in hand.

At 5:41pm local time on Day 2, Australia won the Test by eight wickets.

Strange comment on bazball?
Isn’t that EXACTLY how Head and Marnus played?

Anyway, RIP test cricket as we knew it

Actually think it’s very sad

I think it’s funny dunking on bazball because the English made it seem like they had invented agressive batting and have had no success doing it.

Don’t understand why there are calls for tests to be cut to 4days when there are so many examples these days of tests only taking 2-4 days anyway.

Only 5.8% of matches in the most recent WTC cycle ended in draws and a massive part of that 5.8% would be due to weather.

https://www.espn.com.au/cricket/story/_/id/45468941/wtc-stats-changing-game-bowlers-rise-batters-fall-tests-get-faster-shorter

And as for calls to shorten tests to 4 days. Why? Ridiculous idea.

I would say Marnus did the opposite while Head was doing his stuff. Marnus kept his head and performed the unselfish team role holding up one end rather than letting his ego get in the way like all the Pommie batsmen did trying to be a hero. That's the difference with "Bazball". There's no adjustment to the bowling, the pitch, or the status of the game. We had the Pommie 3-4-5 all getting out in a row to flashing on the up at effectively the same ball wide outside off stump. And they wonder why they got knocked in under two days lol.

ps. There are not too many batsmen around who have the exceptionally quick hand-eye coordination and know-how to play and adjust their shot at the last sec the way Travis Head can.
