We're playing the runners-up of last year at their home ground. Being beaten by Carlton's extra class, cohesion and especially their speed. We look tired and fatigue only increases the errors. We'll do better against the (other) mediocre teams in our group especially at Punt Rd.

It's harder coming in against sides that have had the pick of the best players from the start of the comp. and played together for 4 years at AFLW level. Most of ours girls have only played VFLW before. The gap in class shows. Remember Peggy was ticked off that we missed out on being one of the original teams. I bet that's one of the reasons so was.
