Structure of the team remains the same. Stack takes over Houli's role at HB while Graham replaces Ellis in the midfield rotation.

I don't seen Nank playing without playing a warm-up preseason game. One of the setbacks having the VFL suspended. No games to get/keep matchfit for the rest of the list.

Reckon Stack would've replaced Ellis and they shuffled the magnets to bring Graham in once Houli was out.  Actually surprised they went with both Graham & Nankervis given they've missed virtually the entire pre-season.... :shh

Carlton team for those interested:

B: Lachie Plowman, Liam Jones, Sam Docherty
HB: Nic Newman, Jacob Weitering, Sam Petrevski-Seton
C: Sam Walsh, Patrick Cripps, Jack Newnes
HF: Paddy Dow, Mitch McGovern, Jack Martin
F: Michael Gibbons, Levi Casboult, Jack Silvagni
Foll: Matthew Kreuzer, Marc Murphy, Ed Curnow
I/C: Kade Simpson, Will Setterfield, Zac Fisher, David Cunninham

Carlton recruits Jack Martin and Jack Newnes will face the Tigers for the first time in navy blue, while Marc Pittonet has been named as an emergency.

Co-captain Sam Docherty is set to play his first AFL game since the end of 2017, while Sam Petrveski-Seton has been named in David Teague’s 22 despite missing the entire Marsh Community Series.

With Charlie Curnow, Harry McKay and Eddie Betts all sidelined with injuries, Mitch McGovern and Levi Casboult will spearhead Carlton’s attack.

CCJ should of played before Nank. Looks like we will be death riding Adelaide and Port Adelaide in the event that CCJ wants to go home.

Last I heard he was pretty much much gone if he doesn't start getting regular games this year and 50/50 even if he does though in light if current events who knows what players are thinking about with regards to their futures now .... :shh

Agreed. He's Emerg tho so hopefully they drop Nank for him due to poor conditioning

Lyon's immediate thoughts looking at Richmond's team

By Nic Negrepontis
SEN
19 March 2020

The teams for tonight’s Carlton versus Richmond game were announced last night, with the Tigers putting out an incredibly strong side on paper.

They have only made two changes from last year’s Grand Final, with Brandon Ellis (on the Gold Coast) and Bachar Houli (calf) replaced by Sydney Stack and Jack Graham.

Garry Lyon’s reaction to seeing Richmond’s side on paper was that they are going to be a juggernaut again in 2020.

“Looking at their 22, Richmond is going to be very hard to beat again this year,” Lyon told SEN Breakfast.

“They are stacked to the rafters and have lost no one really. What a beautifully balanced side.

“Is it any wonder they’ve won two of their last three and are favourites for this one?”
