Anyway as I said the Oliver rumour falls down at the Cameron part unless GWS match... :shh :shh

No that was from within the club itself and if Port would've had another poor year we probably would be...anything else champ? :shh

Bulldogs midfielder Lachie Hunter has once again been linked with a potential trade exit.

Tim Watson believes Carlton are interested in poaching Collingwood star Jordan De Goey this off-season.

Geelong is “up to its eyeballs” in the chase for Jeremy Cameron, after a disappointing contract offer from his current club GWS.

SEN reports Fremantle are now firmly in the race for Ben Brown, alongside Brisbane, Collingwood, Essendon and St Kilda.

Sam Edmund on SEN - “I’m hearing whispers Devon Smith is one of those ... whispers around him being unsettled and not happy there. Whether that translates to him lodging a trade request is a very long bow to draw at this point, but certainly some unhappiness with him.”

Edmund also said there were whispers forward stars Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti and Jake Stringer were among those frustrated with the club’s wayward 2020 season.

Did the AFL give Carlton a salary cap extension or something? Sounds like they're up to their old tricks... :shh

Smith & Hunter would both be handy... :shh :shh

Andy Maher on SEN just rattled off a bunch of rumours. I didn't get them all but here's some of them as best as I heard them:

Nathan Broad to publicly say he's off to the Gold Coast Suns when the season ends.

Marlion Pickett linked to WA.

Alex Neal-Bullen linked to Richmond.

Jacob Townsend is another that may leave Essendon. Go to Sydney.

Peter Wright linked to Sydney, North and Essendon.

Wil Powell has been approached by multiple clubs to depart this off-season, reports AFL Media.

“He‘s (Powell) a person of interest in the recruiting ranks,” veteran journalist Damian Barrett said on Footy Feed.

“Several clubs have made an approach to him, including North Melbourne, who do need to replace a lot of players on their list. He‘s a person of interest.”

BF Richmond Podcast -  trade & list talk starts around 8 mins in:

https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/future-free-agency-targets-aka-the-thomas-green-clayton-oliver-discussion.1231941/post-67414262

Summary for those who can't be arsed (don't blame them, the bloke is quite long-winded and not easy on the ears):

https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/future-free-agency-targets-aka-the-thomas-green-clayton-oliver-discussion.1231941/post-67418109

 :shh

EDIT: The summary's wrong Re: Freo - Connor Blakely is the player he said we're interested in (along with Tucker), not Hughes. He also didn't mention that we're interested in Xavier O'Halloran from GWS (according to the podcast that is). :shh

That podcast is unlistenable - honestly people should be paid to listen to it
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

AFL trade wishlists: The ideal off-season targets for every AFL club

October 12, 2020
by BEN WATERWORTH AND DAVID ZITA
FOX SPORTS

RICHMOND

They’ve never relied on clearances during their premiership success of the last three years. Still, it wouldn’t hurt to add a clearance specialist or two to the side to compliment Dion Prestia and Shane Edwards and at least give them first look at kicking goals, which has become all the more important under the 6-6-6 rule. Brad Crouch wouldn’t hurt if the Tigers could afford him. He’s keen for more team success and there’s no better team for that than Richmond at the moment. All other genuine grunt players around him are pretty much tied up. Andrew McGrath is still somehow not recontracted at Essendon even though they’re working towards a new deal. Ultimately, because they’re such a system-based side, they probably need players who are good at one particular role more than they do an all-rounder.

--------

The Giants have also been linked to Tiger Toby Nankervis, however he’s now more likely to stay at Richmond now considering Ivan Soldo’s long-term knee injury.

Gold Coast linked to fringe Tiger Oleg Markov.

He obviously didn’t have the greatest of seasons reputation-wise, but Richmond’s Callum Coleman-Jones could become an important tall and the Swans should keep their eye on him. Contracted until 2021 but who knows what the future holds after his COVID rules breach.

Someone like Bachar Houli would be perfect for the Eagles, but it would be a mighty hard mission trying to get him out of Victoria and Tigerland.

Wow I’m a big fan of Andrew McGrath. It would be excellent to see at Richmond but I think probably too expensive and most probably unrealistic.
