LOL what did Treloar do, crap on Eddies desk?
He was a good player, wtf did they do to him?

I think he refused to crap on Eddie’s coffee table
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Never thought this joker could top his brilliant plan from years ago to trade Riewoldt to GWS for high picks and then get him back when we were in our window...but by jingo he's given it a fair crack here:

Jack Higgins (Richmond)

“I’m more inclined to think he could head to Carlton but I’m only speculating there,” Sam Edmund said on SEN's Whateley.

“He’s very much been told he’s a chance to be traded, he has a year to run on that contract and I think he’d be a great pick up for Carlton considering their obvious desire to land a small forward at the other end of the age spectrum to Eddie Betts."

Western Bulldogs are “down the track” with Collingwood big man Mason Cox, according to former Magpies recruiter Matt Rendell.

Gold Coast renew interest in Tiger Nathan Broad (SEN)

GOLD COAST RENEW INTEREST IN THREE-TIME RICHMOND PREMIERSHIP DEFENDER

BY Sam Edmund
SEN
27 October 2020

Gold Coast has a renewed interest in Richmond defender Nathan Broad.

The Suns had cooled on the triple premiership backman, who remains unsigned for next season.

Broad’s uncontracted defensive colleague Oleg Markov, who was again overlooked for much of the season, had become Gold Coast’s priority.

But it’s understood the Suns have had a change of heart and are again knocking for Broad, who has former teammate Brandon Ellis at the Queensland club.

It’s understood the Suns would only take one of Broad or Markov.

Broad, 27, has played 69 games for Richmond since being taken with pick 67 in the 2015 national draft.

He has been a dependable regular in Damien Hardwick’s side since playing the last 10 games in the Tigers’ 2017 premiership season.

But the Suns will not overpay for a player who may want a decent pay rise after taking less at a strong Richmond side.

Murmurs from Freo that Tigers are taking a look at Hogan: Mark Stevens
« Reply #454 on: October 27, 2020, 03:37:57 PM »
Who better to turn around Jesse Hogan than Richmond? Murmurs from those linked to Purple in WA that Tigers are taking a look. @7AFL

Hogan suited to playing higher, Lynch deep ... the long term Richmond forward set up post Jack Riewoldt? Nice year or so to set up transition. @7AFL

Talks this week for Jesse Hogan about whether he is officially up for trade. Talk of a Richmond offer utterly denied despite rumours all weekend. Swans the only club to actually ask Freo on him. Jordan Clark wants to stay at the Cats, Cats want to keep him

If Josh Dunkley wants to move, why don't we make a play?

Would this be a good idea?

Let's face it, even the media don't know what is happening.  I still can't believe they talk about this crap for 10 hours a day for 3 weeks.
God I love winning premierships.

Outside of him being contracted and the Dogs won't trade him

If they were to trade for him, they'd want an earlier first round pick (top 5) and we don't have one

As for players, they'd want one of our guns

Ch7 & Ch10 news also now saying we're interested in Hogan.

Clint Stanaway on Ch9 though doesn't believe we are and said it's Sydney who are interested.

Tiger Higgins considers next move

Michael Gleeson
The Age

One of Richmond's most loved players, small forward Jack Higgins, is stuck in a quandary of whether to stay or go.

He is contracted and wants to stay at Richmond but he also wants to play senior football. Late this year he wasn't doing that and he is considering what he does now. Does he try to go somewhere he is more likely to play regular senior footy or does he stay?

Richmond's view is they do not want to lose the popular player who has also come through the hardship of a serious brain injury. They are also sympathetic to his situation and desire to play but are also open to the idea of a trade.

St Kilda would potentially be among clubs interested depending on the cost of the contract and the cost in trade terms but they would firstly be interested in what happens with Jack Lonie who has been offered a one-year deal to remain at Moorabbin but accept if he can get a better longer term deal elsewhere they are open to him exploring it.

Need to get something decent for Higgins. Can't afford another Butler bend over the barrel situation.

If Dunkley is even somewhat gettable I am keen as. Great inside mid. Get something from Saints that can forward on to Dogs.

I see Saints have picks 15 and 58.

58 ain't gonna get it done so it's 15 for Higgins + pick/steak knife.

Either that or they need to trade for a better pick. But we sure as hell shouldn't let him go for 58 like we did Butler.

We have great depth and for the longevity of our list we need to stop giving away fringe players for essentially nothing.

Same with Broad and Markov. I would rather keep them as I see Houli finishing up soon.
