Haha Paddy McCartin....Carlton going for the wrong brother...besides don't they already have enough key forwards who can't get on the park? :shh

Wouldn't mind Witherden...can seriously play when he's in form... :shh :shh

Witherden would suit our gameplan IMV. He is an interceptor and Dimma likes longer kickers from the defensive half when you think of Short & Balta who can kick over an opposition zone and allow us out the back goals.

"Look at me" Dodoro at it again holding up the trade period ::).

If crouch is being offered  700-800/year then it's 100% a first round pick.

Just pee off compo or reveal the formula/cheating/favouritism.

Reveal the formula and everyone will be cheating the system. Just make compo end of 1st, 2nd and 3rd round only. Three bands of compo not five.

Good idea but how do you classify a free agent as 1st or 2nd or 3rd??

Yep, just get rid of the compo system

Only FA in the world that offers draft compo

AFL Free Agency is shambles

Should be simple; like most other sports; which is

* Nil Compo

* Contracted players can be traded by their clubs to whatever club they like, players get no say.

* Only exception is if a player has a no trade clause in their contract

Under the AFL FA & Trade system players have far to much control

Didn't say his name was Kane or Eddie did he
Wonder what team he thinks the best defender in the game should be traded to

Should we have had a crack at that price?

Pick that deep in the draft with minimal junior footy to make an assessment on...would be a real hard task finding someone who can play well.

Just depends on the old noodle.

Maybe at that trade price it means GWS are covering his entire salary. I was all for going for him but based on a low risk high reward model. But if you have to cover his whole salary on a multi year deal, it might be a bit too risky for the club. Also he’s probably better served in Sydney than the footy mad vic especially at a massive club like Richmond.

True, although he would have guys like Dusty, Lynch, Jack, Cotch to share the spotlight with.

As opposed to being a player in a nobody team where nobody cares.
