Jesse Hogan has been traded to GWS for pick 55.

Should we have had a crack at that price?

Pick that deep in the draft with minimal junior footy to make an assessment on...would be a real hard task finding someone who can play well.

Just depends on the old noodle.

Maybe at that trade price it means GWS are covering his entire salary. I was all for going for him but based on a low risk high reward model. But if you have to cover his whole salary on a multi year deal, it might be a bit too risky for the club. Also he’s probably better served in Sydney than the footy mad vic especially at a massive club like Richmond.

Ch7 reported it was a one year deal

Supposedly on $650,000/year right?

I wouldn't want to pay more than 3/4 of that.

Josh Dunkley wants a trade to Essendon.

Essendon is prepared to walk GWS young gun Jye Caldwell through the pre-season draft if a fair trade cannot be struck.

The Demons believe their second round pick 26 or a future selection will satisfy the Kangaroos for Ben Brown.

Geelong offering pick 37 for North's Shaun Higgins.

Brisbane free agent Stefan Martin faces a decision on his future as the ruckman weighs interest from the Western Bulldogs.

According to some journo Carlton are going to offer Zach Merrett $1m a year in 2021 as a free agent.
That's quite humorous.

Blair Hartley said in an interview with abc that we "explored all options" around Jesse Hogan after the forward's management approached Richmond over a potential move.

Not sure if he went into any more detail than that but that’s what AFL.com took out of it.

So it was either too much money or he proved to be a tosser when he approached the Tiges.

A money hungry tosser
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Tom Morris on Foxsports saying Essendon could get Peter Wright for a future 4th rounder.

Barrett is claiming Essendon is deliberately slowing down the trade period because they want Saad to stay.

I think that's because he's not much chop.

Essendon threatening to redraft Saad in the PSD. Carlton want a pick plus Saad in exchange for their first pick.

What's his contract value?

As ruck/kpf depth I would take him at that price. Much better than we are likely to draft with pick 60odd

Why would Dunkley want to go to Essendrug?

That club makes our former history look great.
The club that keeps giving.

They said something about consistent midfield minutes but I call BS.

Gun player. Could have drafted him instead of trading Yarran in.
