Champion football team.
Vs Prima Donna’s who crumbled like a termite mound in a cyclone.
Led by Tommy Hawkins. Looked lost and back to his underachieving best
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Our best player was our system. We adhere to it and it works especially against those teams that like to control the footy.

If a team plays like us then it’s on like donkey kong and whoever does it best wins.
Currently we do it best.

I don’t normally pot the umps but we had the raw end of the deal this game.

Grimes clearly our best. Dusty just starting to warm up nicely.
Our forward pressure was a positive.

Our fifty entries were better but still a lot of room for improvement especially our domination in the third we could of put the game to bed.

Anyway I am really stoked with this win.

Just like the west coast win this was a total domination. Completely took away the opponents game style and had it on our terms. Just a supreme team performance.

Feel for soldo. I know he isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but he’s a real goer and puts his body on the line for our club every week. Think we’ll see nank thrive again doing 80% of the ruck work. Path is clear for chol now with no other competition. Just needs to play his role and contribute or the coaches might consider going back to our small ball routine with only 1 ruck.

Hopefully Lynch’s hammy is on the minor end.  :gotigers

Yep, a goal and a handful of hitouts will see him keep him spot.

Apparently, Geelong's score tonight was their lowest in history against us and that includes the VFA days.

What a remarkable performance it was last night. The way we play as a team and unit is just breathtaking!
We are doing so many things right and have done for years now, but how good is our development and our ability to instill belief? Look no further than Aarts and Markov. These guys are performing when many teams would have placed them on the scrapheap. Take Markov- how much stress and pressure would he have placed on himself this year? With no second league to play in and work your way into the team, he has finally got his body right which is allowing him to play his role in the best team at the highest level. The coaching group and people at the club seem to remove stress levels which in turn allows players to simply play- what a great method!
It is so enjoyable seeing our players continue to step up. Baker is another who many believed to be too small...this kid is a jet!!
Bring on next week :gotigers

The moaning & groaning continues!  Now the media are labeling it the worst game of the season & despairing the state of the game.  Geelong kicking one goal in three quarters was too much for some of the journos .... stuff them!
If your team throttled the life out of a top four side to the point where they put up an all time low score you would say it was a brilliant exhibition of defensive football & label the winner as a massive force ... but no ... not when Richmond do it!  When Richmond destroy a top four side we are guilty of bringing the game down, we cop the 'thou shalt not' treatment while Geelong get the sympathy vote with a moral victory point to boot.
Well, Geelong can have their moral victory, we'll have the very beautiful four points!     :santa    :gotigers

We had 22 scoring shots, it was only inaccuracy which stopped us from putting up a big score. If Geelong couldn’t generate score, that’s their problem not ours.
