Congratulations Dean - awesome news to have two rising superstars  :thumbsup
No MT, would be just as rapt for Marco if he won it.
But have dreams of Rainsey saying in his speech thanks to Moi and Rowdy for their nurturing  ;) lol

Perhaps we could have a tie :thumbsup
Really, both boys have already won - being named as the elite kids in this competition is a great thrill for both of them i reckon.
Have you given Deano any tips from your football days WP  :rollin

Yes Moi  ;)

My words of wisdom were to go out enjoy himself - and clearly on Saturday night he took my advice and had a blinder  :rollin

We actually spoke more about life outside footy  :cheers

From the Australian:
May 10, 2006

Wallace said it would be unreasonable to raise expectations about teenage midfielder Dean Polo because of his stunning debut against Essendon.

Polo, 19, was yesterday named as the round six nominee for the Rising Star award, the first player to be nominated on debut in two years, since Carlton's Andrew Walker in round five, 2004.

The midfielder picked up 28 disposals and kicked three goals, including the final one of the match, to lift his side to victory.

Wallace said Polo's performance was the best he could recall by a first-gamer, but it did not mean the teenager should be expected to reach that level again in the coming weeks.
