The Essendon v Blues game I read all wrong, couldn't understand why Blues were favourites with the bookies, but Blues did it comfortably.

Agree Frankie.

So the AFL is now setting a precedent where players can fend off with a deliberately raised elbow to an opponent's head? :huh

Dusty does it the right way with the extended arm and open hand.

Really hope that BF flog is on the money about Tom Green for CCJ.... :shh

....and I'd trade one of this year's firsts and next year's first to get Sam Taylor if that's what it took...not going to get a better young KPD in the draft.... :shh :shh

Just watching Melb V Syd from the G tonight, disgusted at the way both sides play for free kicks!  The umpires have been pretty good at denying 90% of the appeals but inevitably they get one wrong near goals & somebody scores from it.
Hardwick potted Sydney for constantly playing for frees & he was spot on right, this has to stop now.  Melbourne aren't much better either.
Papley & Floreant are both good players but the way they play for frees is just a disgrace!      :thumbsdown

Cats too. Last Friday with selwood made me want to jump the fence and break my face on his hand.

The one I hate is the shoulder dip to draw high contact.

AFL should ignore it to protect the head.

What is totally peeing me off is that we can't get a free kick for the most blatant things (Selwood on Mansell, etc) while other sides do nothing but play for frees & the umps reward them for it!       :banghead

Massive choke by the Blues. 27 pts up late in the 3rd qtr and then give 8 goals straight to lose by 16  :lol.

Keeps us in the top 8 at least even if we're now a game and % outside the top 4  :-\.

Saints should be 4 goals up from the chances they've had. Missed about 6 gettable shots. No wonder they've kicked 0.7.

Did the Cats play their GF last week against us or will they kick into gear in the second half again?! Saints have been all over them and should be 6 goals up.

Cats played their Granny last week. Saints lost the game last night rather than Geelong winning it. King's confidence in front of the sticks was shot but he wasn't the only one.

Next time we play Geelong, we need to play two rucks (Marshall going down changed the midfield dominance St Kilda had last night) as well as bring proper tackling pressure so the Cats don't easily break out the front of contests into space  :banghead.

.... Oh and kick straight. We can't laugh too much at the Saints as they mentioned on the TV coverage that our goalkicking this year has been in the bottom two for accuracy below St Kilda.
