Adam Cerra has officially nominated Carlton as his trade destination of choice, per Mitch Cleary.

The third pick would be coming back to the Blues from Freo.

So basically 2 picks.

Good pick for Blues but they do not learn from past mistakes by overpaying for players.

Wonder where this day ranks in his life compared to the 2017 GF? :shh

Scumbaggers definitely up the their old tricks here....adding Cerra & Hewittt to Cripps, Weitering, Saad, McGovern, Martin, Williams, Docherty with McKay & Walsh almost certainly set for big pay days as well?

Even if I'm over estimating all that by 25% it still stinks to high heaven.....at the very least they're heading for a Colliwobbles-style meltdown & salary dump......perhaps we should at least be ready the fire sale this time...Cerra could very well end up being their Treloar down the track.... :shh

Q. Is O'Meara leaving Hawthorn? Also, what's with Gunston and the Dees? After winning a flag and signing M.Brown and Daw back up, that seems very unlikely. Would he perhaps go somewhere else or stay Hawks?

A. I haven’t heard anything from Hawthorn or JOM’s camp, but maybe they should both consider it. Imagine him in Richmond’s system as a pure ball winner…

RICHMOND'S look at moving up the NAB AFL Draft order loomed as a possible unlocking of the Jordan Dawson trade to Adelaide, however the Crows do not plan to split their prized pick No.4.

The Tigers have one of the strongest draft hands in the League this year, holding picks 7, 15, 26 and 28 inside the first two rounds and have notified clubs they would look at packaging up selections to shift up the board, including having interest in Gold Coast's pick No.3.

The 2019-20 premiers are understood to have also been interested in grabbing the Crows' pick No.4 in exchange for a package including pick No.7 which would see Adelaide keep an early pick, while also having a bigger suite of selections to use to land Dawson from the Swans.

However, the Crows plan to hold their top pick and go to the draft as they push for more top-end talent, with their future first-round pick also not expected to be a part of any Dawson deal.

Geez I wouldn’t give up too much to move from pick 7 to 4. From a points perspective the difference is the equivalent to pick 43.

Its about a player not the points. Its clear we want someone and are prepared yo pay a price to get him. Whether its Callaghan or Ward or someone else who knows.

WHY RICHMOND IS "GENUINELY INTERESTED" IN PICK DEAL AND THE CLUB THAT'S ALREADY KNOCKED THEM BACK

By Laurence Rosen
SEN
30 September 2021

Richmond remains “genuinely interested” in strengthening their draft hand even further, according to AFL Media’s Callum Twomey.

The Tigers enter this year’s player exchange and draft period with two first and two second-round picks.

While on paper the club would be relishing taking four top picks to the draft, Twomey revealed that Adelaide was approached about doing a potential pick swap deal to unlock the Jordan Dawson deal, following the Sydney winger’s trade request to the Crows.

“I think they’re genuinely interested (in moving up the draft),” he said on AFL Trade Radio’s Trade Exchange.

“They put something to the Crows, they knocked it back and that would’ve been a help to unlock the Jordan Dawson deal, that could have appeased the Swans in what they’re trying to get (in that deal) as well.

“Adelaide has picks four and 23 so I think there’s a middle ground there that has to be found.

“What a great hand Richmond has, they can (keep it) and still be in a pretty good spot, but if you can work your way up… if you look at what Melbourne did in 2015 (by trading up to land) Clayton Oliver, they worked their way up in the draft with that pick.”

Richmond General Manager of Football Performance Tim Livingstone said the club’s current draft picks afforded them extra flexibility to improve their position in both the 2021 and 2022 National Draft’s.

“The strong draft (hand) gives us the flexibility to maximises our position this year and next year,” he said on Sportsday.

“We’ll see what comes up with free agency and trade, we’ll see where everyone sits in respect to other clubs (in the coming weeks).”

EXCLUSIVE.

Carlton are in damage control after a spectacular approach by RICHMOND for contracted and injury prone star CHARLIE CURNOW.

Curnow and his team have met with Richmond, with the Curnow camp considering their options for a trade request.

More to follow…

C.Curnow on the move?!?! Rumoured to be approached by Richmond and considering all options.

However, Curnow will more than likely stay a blue…

Approach with extreme caution.

Knee probably stuffed for good.

Shame, gun player.
