I'd take O'Meara if the Dawks pay 70% of his contract  :thumbsup  ;D

Rate him, don't rate Mitchell

Tom Mitchell is the type of player that has made the Brownlow lose its prestige (not his fault BTW). All about possessions, quantity of rather the quality of

omera would be good providing he is injury free.
Mitchell different player to JOM.
A question off who do we really need?
Our mids - dion, shai, Dusty, trent, Jack, Kane, Edwards?
Does bringing in one off the two allow Dusty to sit forward more? trent to be managed better? Edwards to play on the outside wing and run straight lines/ Shai to sit forward as well?

As long as him and Prestia aren't both down at the same time they can rotate through the rehab group.. :santa...but yeah only if we can get him for "unders" without compromising the youth strategy or the salary cap..and if there's no takers come late tomorrow arvo reckon there's a fair chance the Dawks will be desperate.... :shh

Bobby Hill trade is now unlikely.

“Bobby and I have spoken and I’ve said it’s highly unlikely to happen and he’d be welcome back at the club with no issues or concerns,” GWS list manager Jason McCartney.

From Foxsports' live trade chat:

Q: Rumours Houli could go in the pre-season draft?

Max Laughton: That's a bad rumour. Any rumour using the pre-season draft is bad.

Q: Any interest remaining from other teams about Josh Caddy or is he staying?

Ben Waterworth: Nothing on Caddy

Q: Pies 27 for Tigers 38 and 40?

Max Laughton: Makes all the sense in the world.

Q: Hi Ben, is Tigers chasing anyone? or are they happy to take their picks to the draft?

Ben Waterworth: Reckon the latter.

Q: Tigers looking like they’re going to wait until draft night to trade up, is that the right way to go around it?

Max Laughton: If you're in a position where you're willing to use your picks if things don't go well, then sure. Waiting can give you the most leverage.

Q: Does Gibbons get a run somewhere like Richmond as midfield depth in case they have a 2021 injury repeat?

Max Laughton: Yeah that makes sense, or at least a team closer to a flag that are unlikely to 'play the kids' at this stage (like Dunstan-Dees)

Q: i like michael gibbons to richmond from a previous comment. is that something being spoken about ben or somebody spitballing idea?

Max Laughton: A trade chatter spitballing an idea Jay. But agree think it makes a lot of sense.

Q: does hamish hartlett make any sense for richmond benno? maybe a houli replacement for next year on the cheap

Max Laughton: List spots are tight is the only thing.

Q: thanks max. do we have an idea on list spots? by my count tiges already have 34 under contract with tarrant.

Max Laughton: 36-38 senior players, 4-6 cat A rookies, up to 2 cat B rookies I believe

Jordan Dawson will become an Adelaide player. Adelaide will give Sydney the future first-round pick – tied to Melbourne’s finish next year – that they had secured in the opening days of trade period.

Q: Hey Ben do you think the Tigers may package up picks 28,38 and 40 to get a late first round pick?

Ben Waterworth: but might need to be a more tempting offer than that

Q: Do you think the tigers have a last minuet move up their sleeve?

Ben Waterworth: I don't think so Dan

Q: Ben any word on where Blake Schlensog will end up? Cats or Tigers.

Ben Waterworth:  no official word yet.

Q: will mitchell go to the tiges

Ben Waterworth: Doubt it

Q: Is there a real low chance of Richmond making a play for Gunston?

Ben Waterworth: REAL low Brayden. So low I don't think it'll happen!

Q: Hi Ben , how bout this , Saints trade pick 9 and next years 2nd ,probably pick 27 and maybe adelaide's 4th round saints picked up , for Brisbane 14 and 18 and their 4th round this year 57 , about the same points then saints trade 18 and 64 {1086 points } to Richmond for 26 and 44 [sic 40] ,same points then Saints have 14,26,44,62, 67 , so should have 2 picks before owens and winhager and still enough points to get them less

Ben Waterworth: 🤯

wonder if saints pick 9 is gettable for some combo involving some combo with our 2nd rounder.
then maybe we could go after giants 2nd.

Not sure why Saints would give up pick 9 this year unless they wanted a better hand next year.

If that is the case we could do Saints #9 plus their 2022 2nd round for our 2022 1st and either pick 26 or 28. Or it could be just Norfs 2022 2nd round plus 26 or 28 for their 9

Having 7, 9 and 15 would set up the midfield for the next 10 years say Johnson, Sonsie, Goater

I believe they are trying to get their two academy kids and haven’t got a lot of other picks

Roos ruckman Tristan Xerri's proposed move to St Kilda is all but dead.

GWS has rejected Essendon's latest future second round pick offer for Bobby Hill.

GWS offered pick 13 for Luke Breust. Hawthorn willing to do it but Breust said no to moving.
