Lynch needs to present. He’s playing lazy footy.

Our mids need to win centre clearance

Our whole team need to up the pressure.

Good to see Kmac back. Need his run on a wing at Docklands.

Odd selections otherwise IMV when we have been smashed in the contested footy and clearances over the past two weeks. Not sure why you'd keep one out of form small forward in Aarts, bring back another and then drop a mid in Ross without bringing in another mid. We are already missing Prestia so we're a mid short. The game is going to be won in the guts.

Is he?

After listening to Dimma'a presser after last week's game, not sure his role is to play the lead up forward

Dimma keeps going on about the big forwards making contests and bringing the ball to ground, so the little blokes can  gather or create a pressure situation at ground level.

With our small forwards with the exception of George so badly out of form that plan is clearly not working. Throw in the pathetic inside 50 entries and we have a mess.  :-\

That does not make sense when our small forwards are not dangerous and are busy guarding space. Our forwards rarely kick goals from a ball spilling from a contested mark. Our mids do sometimes. Aart, Rioli and Castagna rarely do. That's the problem. Sounds like we are playing a game that does not suit our smalls. Rioli would be our best and most skilled crumber but he deliberately drags his opponent away from these contests.

I am honestly confused..  I think the Saints will win because our forward 50 set up is a mess at the moment. Our mids are getting caught going forward due to hesitation from lack of options ahead. In particular we are getting smashed across forward 50. We rarely win a contest at forward 50.

Dusty cannot save us every game...

I think we agree our i50 play could be better although it’s unusual for us to both have under 50 i50’s and be outscored by over 20% on this stat which has happened 2 weeks in a row.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

The current game suits big monster forwards we have 2. Lynch should be leading and taking contested marks like in his first year not playing as a decoy or bringing the ball to ground.

Who is the other? CCJ?

Jack is really something between a medium and a tall. Brilliant lead up forward tho. I hope he kicks lots this year.

Agree re: Lynch. He looks slow and disinterested/low on confidence to me. Should be killing it.

I know Jack is on the 194 cm side , but his a gun and a smart footballer takes a topline defender.Remember Lynch in his first year clunking marks and leading out big presence we need that
