Out:
Naish. Seen enough.
George. Even I have had enough. Get form in VFL.
Chol. Injured.
Aarts. Gives his all but he's a dumb footballer.
Garthwaite. Will be delisted, waste of a spot.

In:
Ralphsmith. Play the kids.
Parker. See what he's made of/if he's worth keeping.
Ryan. No choice, need a ruck.
Cumberland. Had a day out today.
Nyuon. Play the kids.

I just listened to post match presser

Dimma suggesting that all our gun players currently out are "doubtful"  ::) :-\

Oh boy. Chol to stay in then :lol
Castagna and Naish out

Chol apparently no certainty after the ankle injury. Guess that leaves Ryan and no AFL ruck for the VFL team? Hope not. Poor kid will get monstered by McInerney but at least big O isn't mean.

Dimma post-game said we're not getting any of our injured premiership players back for the Lions game :P.

The Tigers hope to have premiership heroes Kane Lambert and Shane Edwards back to face Brisbane in Riewoldt’s 300th match at the MCG on Friday.

Some of the younger ones won't make it. Players like Naish should not be gifted any more games. Most of us have seen enough. He needs to be delisted ASAP.

We should use this period to see who is worth keeping and who should be delisted at season end and this means trying out the younger players.

100% this. Play them to see if they have upside or trade value.

Miller
Parker
Ross
Stack
CCJ
Chol

Dow, Cumberland, Martyn, Ralph and Nyuon have only been on the list 2 years and 2020 was a hard year with no VFL etc. So I'd be tempted to keep them all for now. Hard to judge them to date.

Team Tips:

Mabior Chol (rolled ankle) played out Richmond’s capitulation loss to Collingwood but is in doubt to face the Lions on Friday night. It’s another injury blow for the Tigers, with coach Damien Hardwick confirming they’re unlikely to get any other of their other sidelined guns back, including Callum Coleman-Jones (calf), Kane Lambert (hip/calf), Toby Nankervis, Nick Vlastuin (both knees). Richmond could still look to make changes after suffering its fourth-straight defeat, with Jake Aarts, Thomson Dow and Patrick Naish all quiet against Collingwood. Will Martyn (31 touches, 12 tackles), Josh Caddy (37 disposals) and Noah Cumberland (five goals) put their hands up for a senior berth after strong VFL performances.

In the Mix: Round 18

RICHMOND

A rare injury-free game for Richmond, but coach Damien Hardwick said the side is unlikely to regain any players. They remain cautious with Toby Nankervis' nagging PCL injury, as well as the injuries of Nick Vlastuin (knee) and Shane Edwards (ankle). Noah Cumberland had a breakout performance in the VFL with five goals, Josh Caddy had 39 touches but curiously wasn't named in the best by the club, while Will Martyn had 31 and 13 tackles.

Verdict: Martyn for a somewhat quiet Thomson Dow, and if fit, Nankervis for Mabior Chol.

Another week of maybes.

Dimma said Nank is a chance. Pulled up sore last week but felt better quickly this week. He just needs to get through training today.

Lambert and Edwards are "probables".

Chol is fine.

Dimma's comments from his presser:

* Rucks stocks this week may be a bit more promising. Nankervis will train today. So hopefully he'll get up. Look we thought he might play last week but he pulled up a bit sore. He's jumped quickly this week. The medical staff got to work and got him fit and a chance to play. But we'll have a better understanding after today's training session. Shane Edwards and Kane Lambert may be probable as well. Once again we'll get through training and see how that pans out.

As mentioned in the other thread, Parker is in.

Toby Nankervis and Kane Lambert both trained on Thursday morning and appear likely to return from injury.

However Shane Edwards was not part of the Tigers’ captain’s run and looks likely to remain on the outer.
