Matthew Lloyd was pushing this as well on Footy Classified last night saying 10 years at one club is a long time.

He must have forgot Sheedy coached his beloved Bombers for 27 years with gaps of 7 and 8 years between premierships  ::).

So does this only apply to Dimma?

Scott's been at Geelong for a decade now, a premiership but nothing in between. SHould he go too?

What about Longmire at Sydney. More than a decade. Didn;t hear them say last year he needed to go

Very selective are these commentators

All about creating a headline in an attempt to stay relevant

Newsflash, they're not but nice try

This becomes funnier now that Storm have announced Bellamy re-signing for another 2 years

To take his tenure past 20 years

Look forward to hear what Kingy and Matty have to say if they fail to win the flag this season  :lol

Journalists in this country are so amateur like when compared to overseas talent.

We need a few new fresh faces to assist Dimma
And you may not think I care for you

Dean Solomon was highly regarded but for whatever reason was left Uncontracted this season.

We lost two assistant coaches at the end of last year and didn’t actually replace them instead giving already employed people dual roles to fill the holes. Assume it’s as a result of the soft cap reductions but still seemed like a strange call to me.

All of the above is due to the soft cap reductions

Clubs had to weigh up who to keep or what to keep as part of their footy departments

Cutting $3mil in costs is tough enough working out where to cut harder

Every club approached it differently.

Footy department isn't just coaching. There's recruiting, sports science, fitness etc

Every club is seeing the impacts of the cuts in different ways.

Draft is going to be interesting this year. What if any impact did the cuts have to Club's recruiting teams and processes?

Wanted a break  from coaching and concentrate on his business last I read , but wouldn't surprise me he will be at punt road.Even before the soft cap issue we didnt replace them.

I heard the same about Lepa but he’s been anything but ‘away from football’ this year.

The slashed soft cap coupled with an unclear COVID-19 landscape means more than 25 assistants across the league are without contracts for 2022.
