Sheedy didn’t get a single dynasty let alone 2.

From 1983 to 1990 you could argue that Essendon had a dynasty. They reached the grand final in 1983 and 1990 and won the grand final in 1984 and 1985. During this period I think you have to take into account they were up against arguably the greatest team Hawthorn has ever produced.

Ross Lyon would at least sort out our defensive issues..... :santa

Sheesh i really wish supporters would apply the same standards to others that that they apply to us.

FMD From the time Sheedy took over essendon in 81 he would have had the most sustained period of playing finals od just about anyone.
He may have only coached a lazy 4 premierships but with a touch of luck it cold have been 6 or seven.

I dont get it i revered Sheeds as a tiger player and at no time have i ever begrudged him his success elsewhere. That success is significant and should not be muddied by nuff nuff one eyed supporters who cannot see past their nose.

If Richmond had had the sustained sucess that is playing finals and contening and winnig flags that Essendon had had from 81 to 2004 then you would be peeing your pants with glee over him.

How about just a bit of humility and afford others a bit of due credit where it is deserved.

Hardwick will go to GWS and Clarkson to GC next year.  Chris Newman back to the Tigers

Disastrous result for our club if we lose Hardwick and put in Newman. He might be a former captain but it would be a bad bad result. The only assistant Id give the job too is Caracella. Bring back Grigg and Newman as possible assistants.

2nd this!

I didn’t say anything negative about sheedy. I just said he didn’t coach a dynasty team. Dynasty teams have been defined for a while now as teams who have won 3 flags in short succession. Bombers never accomplished that under sheedy. If you want to call a team a dynasty just for ‘challenging’ for flags then Chris Scott would like a word….

And spare me with the humility and bit of due credit talk. We’ve won 3 flags in the last 5 years and 95% of your posts on here are crapping on players, coaches, team selection, footy department and on and on and on……

As I said if it was choice I would bring Leppa back not interested in Newman.

In fairness he said he would sail off into the sunset and wouldn't post again. But he returned eventually, likely after a loss.

But hey, he's annoyed me over the years and I don't always agree with him but he's entitled to his opinion. People don't have to respond if they don't want to.

Shane Edwards has been a star person and player for our club and deserves to play out the year in the seniors imho baring injury.
He is a real mentor, coach and example to many around the club and needs to go out in style when he chooses to go.
I hope there’s a spot for him in player development within the club dependant on salary caps

Sure he is as is everyone. But let’s not pretend that a significant amount of his posts aren’t berating people for not agreeing with what his saying.
