Your Top 5 Philosophies on Recruiting

1. Burst speed away from a contest
2. Good kick
3. Game awareness
4. Never pick a player with a hyphenated name
5. Grill em before you pick em. If they cry dont pick em. If you pick em and they cry on draft night after being selected youve picked a dud.

For me I'd be wary of getting anyone who was 'late to learn AFL'. Grassroots is good, latecomers rarely blossom IMO.

Good character, although most kids can be silly.

Good kicks.

Blokes that aren't afraid of a contest.
