This year's half-back class is stacked .

Who makes the All-Aus team?

Hawkins has not been better than Lynch this year.

The thing that Hawkins does better than any other kpf is his goal assists and score involvements. Tom ended up kicking more goals than him but think Hawkins is well clear and AFL#1 in score involvements and goal assists. That’s not to say Lynchy doesn’t have him in other areas i.e. contested marks and marks inside 50 which he is both AFL#1 I believe. I just think that’s what they’ll point to when they inevitably go with curnow, Hawkins and Cameron as the kpf in the AA team this year.

Yeah but another easy cop out they use is that he missed too many games

Lids was AA with 18 games in a year. Very doable! Plus I'm biased

So in the squad of 40 I think D.Rioli, Lynch, Bolton and Prestia (debatable) get in. In the actual 22 I think bolts is our only lock and they’ll probably overlook Rioli and lynch.

There was a Coleman year Riewoldt had where he. Didn’t make the AA based on not having enough impact from memory?

I would make the same argument of lynch over curnow for that reason. Pure and simple Lynch has delivered more this year in critical moments when compared to curnow.

Yup one of his Coleman years, Riewoldt was laughably not included in the AA team however I don’t think it’s been done since then.

I don’t think that argument will work in Tom’s favour as Charlie has more score involvements and goal assists.
