Even up the rees in the second half and we are home at a canter, but it won't happen

Defenders need to wake up in the second half. Much better from the halfway mark of that qtr onwards but they are allowing too many fwd50 marks in wet weather conditions too. Even with hawks sleek transition it’s not like our key defenders wernt in position to spoil most of their marks, just not manning up or being caught flat footed.

Half-time

Richmond    3.3     9.5-59
Hawthorn    4.4     8.5-53

Goals: Lynch 2, Riewoldt 2, Bolton, Graham, Martin, Nankervis, Soldo.

Woke up in the last 15 minutes, lifted our intensity and started winning the contests which turned the match into a forward half game.

Bolton lead the way. Just clean while everyone else around him was fumbling. Prestia important too.

Still a weird game for us. Strong in areas we're usually not so (centre clearances & stoppages) but ordinary in regards to the turnover/rebound game which is normally our one wood.

I don’t normally complain about the umps but this is pretty ridiculous.
Be interesting to watch this game on tv and see the close ups. In just seems very obviously one way umpiring as I stand here.
They get a free and are awarded a fifty for us playing on but the exactly same things happens with hawthorn and no 50.
Head highs. Throws. Dropping the balls not going our way at all but they are getting every 50/50 decision. It’s pretty frustrating.
The club that keeps giving.

Tbh the umps haven’t been that bad.

Maybe we’ve been unlucky with one or two but we do give away a lot of dumb frees.

It's the ones we don't get paid that is the problem Willy.

Hawk throws.

Lynch whacked high on the wing and Razor doesn't pay it. Lynch wonders why. Hello 50m for "dissent". Teams should not be penalised 50m for ump errors.

Nank is continually copping it over the shoulder at throw-ins/ball-ups yet no free.

Hawk players drop the ball in the tackle no free yet Dusty (rightly) is pinged for the same thing.

All we ask for is consistency and fairness for both teams.

You're out there George. First time I've noticed him.

George's 45m shot falls shot and Lynch marks between the goal and point post. Goal!  :gotigers

Jack 50 but doesn't make the distance from 45  :P.

Pickett to Dusty but the ump says "not 15"  ::). Dusty weaves past two Hawks but his banana just misses.

We get it back from the kick-in and Lynch marks 25 out. Goal!  :gotigers

That's 4 for Tom.
