Pathetic. There is nothing to be proud of losing when you are in front by 3 goals and make brain dead decisions.

We let yer another game slide. That’s 4 now due to our leaders doing sfa when we needed them.

Nank ruined our momentum with that stupid kick off the ground.

Bad take. Loss is disappointing but if you are calling the effort pathetic then you’re watching a different game.

I think we lost this game in the third quarter - We played brilliantly - the best I have seen this year , however it should have been an 8 or 9 goal quarter - such was our dominance.

I'm really proud of the team.  Devastated that we coughed up a lead again.
Really hoping we can make the finals this year, Just not sure we will.

Yep me too. No expectations with the team all year and did not expect to win this one.But the way they dug in and the circumstances  the  had me thinking poo Claw maybe there is another one in em.
Ultimately we lost and straight after the game they could have nuked the whole town of Geelong and i would not have given a stuff.
But ya know kudos to them most teams would have been overrun but this time they found a way to stay in it and fortunate or not win it.
End of the day thats also a sign of a good team.

Two yrs ago likely we would have just ran over them but it is no longer 2019 or 2020 we like them are ageing,.

AFL Report Card: Round 15

David Zita, Ben Waterworth and Catherine Healey
Foxsports
27 June 2022

RICHMOND

So close, yet so far. Despite a slow start, Richmond kicked 10 of 12 goals during a stunning run across the second to fourth quarters against a tough Geelong outfit to open up a 17-point final quarter lead. But down a midfielder after Dion Prestia was subbed out, the Tigers ran out of legs late as the Cats stormed home to take the four points. Coach Damien Hardwick described it as a “heartbreaking” loss, for the Tigers lost no admirers on the weekend.

In the votes

Liam Baker was a game-changer in the second and third terms, shifting to the midfield and sparked the Tigers fightback. He finished with 24 disposals — 14 of those contested — seven clearances, eight inside 50s and three intercepts. Shai Bolton was everywhere against the Cats and finished with 3.2 from his 14 disposals. Bolton was shifted deep in the forward line to draw Mark O’Connor one-on-one. Dylan Grimes racked up 12 intercepts, while Toby Nankervis took four intercept marks and finished with 22 disposals after being asked to ruck solo at the start of the game. Robbie Tarrant’s job on Tom Hawkins was impressive.

Room for improvement

As inspiring as Richmond’s comeback was, the fact it coughed up a 35-point lead in the first half ultimately proved costly. The Tigers also lost the contested ball count by -23. Individually, Jack Riewoldt failed to fire against the Cats, finishing scoreless from seven touches, while Dustin Martin was down on his high standards. First-year players Josh Gibcus and Judson Clarke were quiet.

I think we lost this game in the third quarter - We played brilliantly - the best I have seen this year , however it should have been an 8 or 9 goal quarter - such was our dominance.

Great post. Lynch, Bolton and Dusty all missed sodas. Pickett should’ve been given a 50 when 55 out and Baker had his head ripped off 30m out directly in front.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
