I understand everyone being down or angry or embarrassed but its the weekend, go for a drive, go to a nice restaurant or go out with your partners or mates, enjoy the weekend. Dont let footy get you down. I used to get upset used to ruin my weekends. Now im comfortable with it all because if you put everything into perspective in life youll understand its just a game of footy. Theres always next week. Just a bit of perspective here. Just imagine what the fremantle supporters are thinking. Yep they are thinking one that got away as well.
Okay we generated the last two chances of the game and fluffed em but Fremantle won that quarter imo in most areas.

Slaughtered us for the first 15min of it and failed to win that's true

GC: Embarrassed
North: Angry
Freo: Flat

The Freo loss has compounding feelings but in isolation we played a much better game then the last 2 weeks where we literally disappeared in a half of footy. Bit similar to Eagles game where we were a bit lucky in a way they missed some gettable chances as its pretty easy to score against us, but we held up well.

If we won the previous 2 weeks it is a completely different perspective. Abusing players over social media is just weak as pee.

Not only that but should also remember they delivered 3 flags in the last 5 years. It couldn’t last forever and if we drop away now which it certainly looks like then what a ride it’s been. I just hope we can get back to the top a hell of a lot quicker than last time.

Yep- and I believe the future looks bright as we certainly have talent in the VFL team who should blossom in the next few years. Trade in Hopper and maybe another, think we are in ok shape.

While I'm still very bullish about our future and agree that we have talent coming through it's still hard  not to be frustrated, embarrassed and angry.

We have the talent now and to see us lose the games we have and on Friday night find another way not win is a hard pill to swallow

Facts are with the draw we got this season we should be in the top 4. It is bad enough we aren't but to be staring down the barrel of missing finals all together, not because we don't have the cattle but because the cattle seem too be too busy grazing thinking things will just happen is the most frustrating thing

That and seeing kids in the VFL playing well week after week and not getting a look in while others who let us down or shown they're not up to it at this time keep getting games

While we blew a couple of chances in the last quarter :facepalm, we were also lucky to get away with a draw given we were again smashed in the guts late in a game. It was 4-15 in clearances and 9-16 inside 50s  :help. So yes Dimma and the match committee have to take a good hard look at themselves for continually and ridiculously expecting Prestia and Cotch to generate clearances over 4 quarters without tiring. I don't even remember Baker going into the middle the past two weeks despite his heroics in turning the game against Geelong. We need more contested ballwinning mids in the side to bat deeper and go the distance in terms of contested footy. It's time to add RCD in there. No guarantees as he can be very inconsistent but when he plays well he wins the contested ball as we saw yesterday in the VFL. At least put him in the guts to try and give Prestia and Cotch a chop out.

When was it that we seemed to play to the oppositions standard? Feels like that again..

Report Card: Round 19

Ben Waterworth, David Zita, Catherine Healey and Ben Cotton
Foxsports
25 July 2022

RICHMOND

The Tigers-Dockers clash was an ugly game to watch at times and finished with a draw — perhaps a fitting result given how both sides spluttered with their form throughout the game. There’s a lot of room for improvement and perhaps there’s some solace for the Tigers in that they at least got two points, as opposed to the last couple of weeks where they’ve been edged in tight ones.

In the votes

Dion Prestia has been really good when he’s been out on the park and Friday night was no exception, while Nick Vlastuin continues to thrive down back. Noah Balta once again showed glimpses of what he’s capable of, but didn’t put it all together. Kamdyn McIntosh was solid.

Room for improvement

Yet again, the Tigers simply couldn’t capitalise on the scoreboard when they had the ascendancy. Fremantle was far closer at half-time than it had any right to be due to Richmond’s inefficiency. It’s just bizarre to see a side so good in recent years at closing out games all of a sudden seemingly forget how to do so in 2022. They’re doing just enough to keep their finals hopes in check, but there’s a lot to work on.
