Reebok, one of the world’s top sporting brands, has joined forces with Richmond.
The Tigers have signed Reebok as their new apparel partner on a two-year deal, which will take effect from the end of the 2006 season.
Reebok, which was founded around the same time as the Richmond Football Club in the late 19th century, has long enjoyed a reputation as an innovator in the global sports arena.
“I’m very pleased to announce Reebok as our new apparel partner for the next two years,” said Richmond CEO Steven Wright.
“Reebok is a global brand, with a very strong presence in the sporting and leisure industries and we are excited about the technological opportunities they’ll be able to provide our club.”
The Managing Director of Reebok Australia, Michael Hendler, said Richmond was an ideal fit for Reebok to be associated with.
“Reebok is delighted about the new partnership with the Richmond Football Club. We are proud to be associated with an AFL club that has such a rich history and bright future as the Tigers, and look forward to sharing many successes together.”
Meanwhile, Richmond has also confirmed that its retail store at Punt Road, the Tiger Den, will return to a situation of being managed by the Club.
“I’d like to acknowledge and thank our existing apparel partner, Concept Sports International, for the support they have given us over the past four years,” Wright said.
