McQualter was asked in his presser today about us having any debutants this week, but he wouldn't give an answer (match committee this arvo). So, I'm guessing not as we usually promote our debutants leading into a match.

Doesn't sound like Cumberland is playing seniors either going by McQualter's presser.

Underwhelming those changes for a side that's won 3 games all year. A cooked forward on one leg and players keep getting games not performing puzzling.

Get finals out of your heads it's about development and exposure this year for our kids who's up to it and who's not simple.

Wow such useless ins for initial teams when we typically change nothing week in week out and hope something just clicks differently lol

I’m not sure what you guys expect

Teams are always going to pick what they see as best available

That's the problem. What MC thinks is best available is totally different to what most supporters think is best available. I think it's fair this year for people to question our team selections, the playing of players out of their natural positions, and some players seemingly being judged more harshly than others who are continually not impacting and still getting games. Our forward line as we know is a dysfunctional mess yet we are not trying anything different be it personnel nor tactical.

Supporters don’t run the club

Opinions are like hole, everyone has one but unless you are a decision maker yours is like gas in the wind

True but ultimately the decision makers will be judged by results. 2016 being the obvious example which lead to a cleanout of the assistant coaches due to them running out of ideas.

While we have no say, that doesn't stop people questioning and starting to lose faith in various aspects within the football dept. such as fitness and conditioning, recruiting and list management, and match committee decisions. Standards have dropped and there's a 2016-like malaise to this year. It won't come from us supporters because we have no input as you say Chucky, but the Club needs a kick up the pants. A refresh shouldn't be just limited to a new senior coach.

To answer your question about what we were expecting from team selection, I'd guess for most people it was seeing some new ideas and experimentation under a caretaker coach because pretty much picking the same team every week isn't working anyway especially up forward.

Al Paton from the HeraldSun:

I’m not an AFL coach but you would think Tigers could make a couple of changes to the team, maybe give Jack a rest or get a look at a Sam Banks type? Things obviously traveling beautifully down there, no need to tinker
