A whole bunch of supporters were chanting "Play the kids, play the kids" ...

So they did ....

Yes "play the kids" they chanted not "play the kids and both Soldo & Nank while resting Dusty and drop another kid who's done nothing wrong..." because that would be a really long-winded and awkward chant for a start... :shh

Surely we don't play two Ruckman at Marvel...

My guess would be Soldo out and Dow in.

Yes but not resting Dusty who is in good form. When was the last time McIntosh played a decent game?

I reckon it’s great that we have brought Bauer straight back in with Cumberland and Coulthard there is some young energy that the team currently lacks.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

There is some funny posts in this thread thus far

Talk about people wanting "a bob each way"  :rollin

With the exception of no Dusty and playing Soldo, there's a lot to like with the team.

Like the "ins"  :clapping

All good, wish that they had rested Riewoldt as well.

Don’t care about result, play the kids for the rest of the year

Geez no sense to it at all. Drop both Martin and Cotchin both ball winning and clearance players and replace them with who.
Imo it should have been Sonsie and Dow they at least are mids.
Pickett so badly out of touch he should be dropped as well playing him fwd does not work. With Martin and Cotchin out it makes perfect sense to role Ross into one of their roles and play Pickett on a wing with Banks leaving McIntosh out.

The fwd half has lacked height and a marking presence all year so Bauer is understandable. Both Nankervis and Soldo dont help us up fwd but Nyuon or Ryan would have and either could give Nankervis a chop out in the ruck.

Dropping Banks is unbelievable. He has not done too much wrong and we need to persevere with kids who have talent not persevere with players who dont. As someone said what the hell has McIntosh done to warrant his spot bloody awful lately.

Still maintain we would be a chance to win with the following team and it now includes the Absence of Martin and Cotch.

Grimes - Young - Vlastuin
Rioli - Balta - Brown

Banks - Hopper - Pickett
Nankervis - Taranto - Prestia

Cumberland - Bauer - Clarke/Coulthard
Bolton - Riewoldt - Ryan/Nyuon.

Sonsie - Dow - Ross - Baker - Short

Omit - Martin - Cotchin - McIntosh - Graham - Miller - Soldo.
In  - Brown - Sonsie - Bauer - Cumberland - Dow - one of Nyuon/Ryan - Possibly Clarke for Coulthard.

Almost a look into what the very near future may hold.
