He played midfield in his last VFL game too though and got even more of the ball, just still had questionable disposal and decision making. Must be played on ball at VFL level though

VFL Report: Round 21

Richmond VFL coach Steve Morris provides a summary of how the Tigers’ players performed in last Saturday's win over Port Melbourne at the Swinburne Centre.

Tyler Sonsie (31 disposals, 11 contested possessions, eight inside-50s, one goal)

"He was a part of a midfield brigade that really got on top late in the game. I loved his will to win late, and he finished with a fantastic shot on goal in the dying minutes to seal the game."

Maurice Rioli (20 disposals, 11 contested possessions, 13 tackles, eight inside-50s, seven clearances)

"Was an absolute standout on the day with 13 tackles and seven clearances from a midfield positions. He was just in absolutely everything in the second half, and was a major reason as to why we were able to win the game."

Bigoa Nyuon (17 disposals, four tackles, three inside-50s)

"Played down back and I thought he was really solid. For the majority of the day, his contested work and his body work in marking contests were really good, and he used the ball really well going over 90 per cent on a day that was tough to use the football."

Tom Brown (16 disposals, five rebound-50s, three marks)

"Another good game from him. He was pretty solid throughout the day. Whether it's in the air or on the ground level, he's giving us a really good contest and has improved exponentially this season."

Samson Ryan (16 disposals, 15 hit-outs, four marks, four tackles)

"A lot of 'almost' moments for Samson on the day. He had a solid game of footy without being outstanding. But, I'm certain he's in really good form and he'll start to convert some of those chances that he's getting forward of the footy."

James Trezise (16 disposals, seven rebound-50s, six tackles, two marks)

"Once again a very solid game from him. His tackling is equal to the best at the club, and he's just a really reliable defender who's in good form for us."

Sam Banks (15 disposals, five tackles, one goal)

"Loving how invested he is in his team. He finished with five tackles and used the ball really well. He kicked an important goal for us in the third quarter."

Steely Green (12 disposals, four inside-50s, three tackles)

"His pressure was really good, a couple of his chase down efforts were just outstanding to help us will the football back on the day. He's putting in a lot of work to improve his game."

Hugo Ralphsmith (11 disposals, four tackles, one mark)

"I was pleased with Hugo's first half, he did a lot right. He had 11 touches at 100 per cent and stepped in for four tackles, which was great to see."

Seth Campbell (seven disposals, two inside-50s, one mark)

"Really excited to have Seth back out on the park. He hasn't hit his straps just yet, but I feel like it's getting closer and looking forward to seeing him burst a game open."

Kaelan Bradtke (six disposals, 16 hit-outs, one mark, one goal)

"A really instrumental part of us being able to turn the game around. Went into the ruck and had 16 hit-outs in just a quarter of footy. What really impressed me was his follow up work around the ground."
