The President Gary March said the following:
* although some people maybe disappointed the current social club was getting demolished as part of the redevelopment
* the new social club will be next to the Jack Dyer stand
* it was the first time we have won in June since 2001
* spoke about the article in the HUN the other week about the possiblity of selling one home game interstate to get 10 at the MCG. He said that he was asked would the Club consdier selling a home game interstate. His reply was that the board would be derilect in their duties if they dind't look at any offer but
1/ it would need to be a fantastic offer for it to be considered and 2/ that currently the Boards position was very clear and that is they have no intention of selling any of our home games * that the announcement on Wednesday meant that the club would be able to complete the 3rd and final stage of the Punt road redevelopment
* and with the redevelopment of the Oval the Club is committed to staying at
it's spritual home where it belongs at Punt Road Oval and we will not be moving * once completed we will have facilities equal to any club in the competition especially in Melb and wont have left our traditions and heritage behind in the process
* confident we will get more games at the MCG next season - asking for 9. Once the redeveopment is finished we will be wanting and expecting 11 homes games at the MCG every year
