I think we will go for pick 2. Give up maybe 6 and 23, effectively Rioli for pick 2 which is a win for us.

Gets us the 2 players we want the most whilst still holding 10,12,18 and other picks in the 20’s

1,2,10,12,18 is a great start to this rebuild. I’d be nervous if I was Dow,Sonsie etc

At best it would take 6 & 18 to get pick 2. At worst 6 & 11. Absolutely no chance we can get it for 6 and 23.

Sonsies contracted for next year so he doesn’t have to be nervous but barring a change in the coaches opinion of him, he’ll be gone in 12 months as he’s not going to impress anyone being unfairly played out of position.

With picks 1, 6, 10, 11, 18, 20, 23, 24.

Take the mids at 1, and 6, I dont believe there is a tall rated higher than the top mids.
Armstrong at 10 he is the highest rated kpf in the draft. Travaglia at 11 if he is there,  unlikely. if not then id be looking at Lindsay or Allan.
At 18 id hope Hotton is still there should be in the area. 20 Best kpp available there will be a few around this mark.
At 23 Cooper Hynes a big medium sized fwd/mid. At 24 if Travaglia is a no go then Harrison Oliver.

Two kpp,s. Lets say Armstrong kpf. Shanahan kpf.

Three mids. Wish list here Lalor, Draper, Lindsay.

two mid fwds hotton and Hynes. Hotten a bit different in a way to Bolton but very good in both roles. Only issue is knee problems do we take a risk with such a pick.

One h/b Oliver. This kid could replace Rioli his kicking is second to none and it would do Short out of a job.
One def/mid. Allan just a beast and dominates across h/b and midfield.

Geez being greedy i know but how i wish we had a few picks in the thirties.

It's going to be hard to pass up a Lalor/FOS combo

Blair Hartley spoke very well tonight regarding our draft haul. Sounds like we have some more deals to do

He was also emotonal at the end of Chris passing.

Forget which poster, but on another thread I was reminded that round 2 of the draft is held the next day. Absolutely think we should hold 23 and 24 until then. Will Defs have clubs who will come calling with big offers because a player they want has slid to the second round.

That is Ofcourse unless we are using them to negotiate another top 5/10 pick.

Richmond have same number of top 20 AFL draft picks this year as we did from 2015 through 2023.

As it stands, Richmond will have finished their draft hand of eight picks between 1-24 before Brisbane, Collingwood, Essendon, Gold Coast, Hawthorn, and Western Bulldogs have used a single pick.

Not sure I'd trade for 2 but if we do it's 10+11 max.

But I want 10+11 because I think Armstrong and Shanahan are worth considering at that pick given our list needs.

Hoping we go FOS/Lalor at 1 then Smillie if available at 6.
