Won by 23 pts if we count the 4 quarters of the seniors game  :clapping. Three more periods to go with the VFL players coming on.

Looking forward to hearing Kanes thoughts on Monday 😂

Means nothing, just teams experimenting. Blah, blah, blah

Got to love "Melbourne have more players out than Richmond" excuse now coming from the commentators.

Who?

Nice result Richmond, positive for the players to take out and learning the Yze-system …

They took in a much more experienced squad than we did. Silly statement TBBH

End of 4 quarters (seniors game):

Richmond     3.1     10.6      13.6        18.9-117
Melbourne    5.1       7.5      12.8        14.10-94

Goals: Bolton 4, Balta 3, Koschitzke 2, Green 2, Sonsie 2, Short, Campbell, Pickett, M.Rioli, Lefau

Only preseason but surprisingly a lot to like after the first 20 mins. As a team, the forward half pressure and ball movement on transition. Individually, Naismith, Dow & Gibcus (played 3 qtrs) the top 3 of our lesser likes.

Anywhere I can watch replay?
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

On for the VFL periods:

Cumberland, Smith, Coulthard, Hugo, Clarke (#11), Trezise, Hayes-Brown, and SSP contender Schofield (#33).

Lefau (switched to #6), McAuliffe (#21), and Miller have stayed on.

Some nice showings by the cubs I thought. Naismith impressive too, if his body can hold up, he may get a lot more games then we expected.

Who are the Melb players that were missing; Oliver, Salem, anyone else? Whereas we were without Dusty, Taranto, Prestia, Lynch, Nank and Baker.

Yassine kicks our first of the VFL 'quarters'.

Rich  19.12-126
Melb  16.10-106

Only other one of their stars would be Angus Brayshaw. The other senior players would be Petty, Ben Brown, Tom McDonald, Spargo, Melksham and Hunter. Mind you some of them are fringe players.

I missed one of our goals (who kicked it?).

Archie May finds Cumberland in the pocket. Cumbers' radar not on today. That's two misses.

133 - 106
