Have to say I wasn't as impressed with Gray as I was with Blight

Gray was good but Blight was better IMV

Agree but reckon Gray has the higher ceiling of the two, Blight's not as good as Balta and we're replacing a forward not a back.... :shh

What about Bauer? When I kept flicking on he attacked the ball strongly and had quite a good leap on him!! If we were going to play Gray or blight may as well play Bauer?!

Id say he needs to get through 2-3 more vfl games before consideration

Seven in and seven out and all bar one can be easily justified.
Picking 5 younger blokes who you could also drop, Campbell, Ryan, Sonsie, Cumberland and Ralphsmith  but that is not where we are at.
More experienced players need to be dropped before them based on form.

B:  Vlastuin - Koschitzke - Miller
HB: Smith - Blight - Trezise

C: D Rioli - Sonsie - Broad/Smith/Trezise
R: Ryan - McAuliffe - Prestia

HF: Campbell - Balta - Cumberland
F:   Bolton - Gray - Bauer

Int: Martin - Baker - Brown - Ralphsmith - Graham.

Ins
backline - Trezise, Blight, Koschitzke and smith starts at HB or wing
Mids - Prestia, Bolton with Dusty supposed to be rested playing mostly  here from the bench.
Forwards - Gray, Bauer and Balta going fwd.

Outs
Defence - Short way way over due.Never to be seen again.
Mids - Dow (omit) , Nankervis Rested, McIntosh Omit, Pickett Inj.
Forwards - Mansell sheesh they have no idea at times, Lefau inj.

Moving Rioli and Broad up the ground allows us to play Trezise and Smith acroos hb in their best roles. Brown to the bench but would also like to see him given a running role just to see what he has to offer there.

Said Broad should be tried in the guts years ago but reckon that ship's sailed now...need to start playing the kids not named Dow there anyway...Martin will be rested next week so his 300th can be in Melbourne.....Graham should be dropped for anyone faster...probably Coulthard who's gone to shyte but has genuine pace and can at least kick....  :shh

Team Tips:

As if it couldn’t get any more horrific, Category B rookie and cult hero Mykelti Lefau went down last Saturday night with an ACL injury. In his absence, surely recruit Jacob Koschitzke will come back into the side with almost no one left for the picking. Teammate Marlion Pickett will also miss with a calf injury, with Dion Prestia his likely replacement after being managed last week. Heavy intrigue surrounds Dustin Martin, who will almost certainly be rested for Thursday night’s clash to allow him to play his 300th AFL game at the MCG against Hawthorn. Shai Bolton is set to return from concussion protocols, while Tim Taranto remains an outside chance of make an appearance back from a wrist injury. Noah Cumberland was quiet on Saturday night, but should hold his spot given the injury crisis.

Adelaide are pretty banged up at the moment- although nothing compared to us .

It’s actually a good time to be getting them .

Had a laugh reading the HUN yesterday and their VFL rap.

Said Kosi is up against it to get back on the AFL side as he again had no impact because didn't kick any goals

Bit hard to kick goals when you're playing at full back and when other backs a going forward and he's the designated back that's to stay back and protect the D50

But whatever  :whistle

I'd bring Kosi in for a forward target next to Ryan.

Balta can stay down back.

Past couple of weeks have shown how much better we are with Balta in defence.

Don't know if anyone has noticed but the season is shot.It doesnt matter where we play Balta atm.
Last time i looked we just lost Lefau. No choice but to play Balta fwd for now.  We have Kossie, and Blight to try in defense with Miller lets find out what they have to offer down back nothing to lose.

Give Nankervis a rest and play Ryan in the ruck people keep telling me he is the next big thing.

Better to have Balta Bauer and Gray play kpf  they are all good movers than Ryan who lets face it is a dinosour and a liability as soon as the ball hits the ground allowing teams to run it out easily.

No thanks , l when they put him forward he struggles, and then loses confidence and surprise surprise , regains his best when moved back
I also would argue he is the player we should be building our backline around .

Still shaking my head , should have recruited van roots or Bazza .

Serious midfield bolster. Not sure where McAuliffe fits in unfortunately. Will probably be played out of position
