Ryan "in the gun" having just signed a three year extension... :joker

Of course he should be in the gun. He has done sweet stuff all since we have had him. So your okay with giving absolute underperformers like him three year contracts now thats a joke.
I didn't give him the ridiculous three yr contract by the way.
If he has a performance based contract for sfa it may not be so bad

That does not alter the fact he has done sweet stuff all.
Given he has done so little i would have thought it prudent we actually draft another promising actual ruckman.

In all honesty does anyone see him as a kpf at afl level.
Cant jump lacks agility and speed lacks size strength and mongrel  struggles to take marks at the level and has been utterly useless when the ball is on the ground.

When and if he ever improves these things and actually does something  at afl level i will get of his case until then, well the facts are  he has been bloody useless.

Players that just have to go that are playing today

Graham, broad, short.

Would also trade Bolton and Hopper for some decent returns.

Kosi and Ryan are vfl players, no doubt about that.

Mansell is contracted. Another 2 years.

Agree otherwise I'm everything claw.

I'd have given Mansell 1 year at most as a bit of a mongrel that's about it.

Agree re mansell. At least he is having a go and is going alright atm. 2yr contract means he will be staying along with Short who still has three years to go.

I still think 10 outs is the minimum, more depending on trades. How we use the rookie list may also play a part.
My 10 outs to date.

Retire
Martin 32, McIntosh 31, Pickett 33, Grimes 33, Naismith 32, All out of contract. In fact every other vet we have is contracted bar Prestia.

It would still leave 30 yr olds in Prestia 2024, Nankervis 2026 , Lynch 2025  broad 2025  and Vlastuin 2026. with lots in the 23 thru 29 age bracket.

Delist
Dow, Coulthard, Cumberland and Colina. think they almost speak for themselves.
Nearly all the others out of contract will probably get one year at least.

Trade

Was not going to include trades but this one seems to be a cert.

Baker out of contract.

Trades that are being spoken about right or wrong.

Graham out of contract. talk of him wanting out.

Rioli to gcs, he  has a long contract till 2027 and we would get good compensation for him.

Bolton  is contracted to 2028. not likely he is going it would cost the farm.

Martin out of contract to gcs who knows. Wont get much for him no one is going to pay him a huge salary. reckon he retires.

Lynch contracted to 2025 again just talk of maybe a club in the window needing a big proven key forward. He is contracted till end of next year would get something reasonable id say.

Hopper is contracted to 2028 not likely anyone will take that on.

Remaining uncontracted players are the following.
Miller,* HRS*, MRJ, OHB,* Ross*, Campbell*, Smith*, Trezise*, Green*, Lefau*, Blight*, Gray*.

You have to think the club would want to see more of all of them.

Yep i think 10 is the magic number but may be more  if some trades actually happen

I hate to give up on our players but sadly I think you may be on the money here

It's his second efforts that frustrated me...or lack of. He just always seems so lethargic. Good VFL player, may never bridge to gap to AFL, but only time will tell.

Yep I hate watching it.

Contests the ruck and then goes into spectator mode. Same with his marking contests.

For call

I think that stems from what appears to be a lack of intensity at every contest
