Some bad habits are hard to break
« on: June 18, 2006, 03:47:03 PM »
I wonder if the comments pf praise during the week gave most of our blokes swelled heads. Wallace saying Simmo is in AA form, comments about Paddy being best recruit for 2006 and all the other words of praise in the press today.

Too many believed in their own press and thought they just needed to turn up to win :banghead.

I hope so too TT but we shouldn't have come out publicly and made such grand statements such as Joel is like Chad Cornes plus Doull. The latter two are premiership players for crying out loud. Praise and critique the players internally as you regularly do while in the media just play a straight bat and say "he played a good game today". Yeah it's boring press but you let your footy on the park do the talking. We as a club still have a lot to learn.

the bowdens, snake and petts all tried hard and cant really say the articles gotto them.

my worries are with players like hall, tiv, tuck, staff, and yes krak

hyde had no impact but has been really good so we can let him off
foley busted his guts and cannot beleive how many times he earns frees and are never played

all our 1st and 2nd yr players are ok, still developing

we need richo and schulz in this team asap, chuck in knb(if fit) and white
