Way more chance of my scenario than WP's...especially if we're 1-9 or 0-10 after going 2-21.... :shh

AFL fixture report card: Which clubs cashed in... and who got dudded in 2025 draw

Will Faulkner, Jack Jovanovski, Dylan Bolch with Ben Cotton

Analysis - Richmond

Richmond has the easiest draw in 2025, which is to be expected given their 2024 season yielded the wooden spoon. The Tigers will need to travel out of Melbourne just three times in the first 15 rounds, heading to Adelaide twice (including Gather Round) and NSW to take on the Giants. Having said that, they do have two five-day breaks in the lead up to clashes against Melbourne and Essendon, although those are blockbuster clashes for ANZAC Day Eve and Dreamtime at the ‘G. The Tigers take on Geelong twice in 2025 but have been given favourable double ups against West Coast, North Melbourne, St Kilda, Essendon and the Suns. It’ll take some time for Adem Yze’s side to get back to the promised land, but with their incoming draft haul, keep an eye on the Tigers youthful brigade in 2025.

Fixture difficulty (based on double-ups): Easiest

Grade: A

Surely no chance for either ?

Way more chance of my scenario than WP's...especially if we're 1-9 or 0-10 after going 2-21.... :shh

He won't be sacked any time soon if at all

Suppose I should add one of these  :shh for good measure right

Personally I can see 3 even 4 wins in the first 10 rounds  ;D

5, 7, 7 and 8 is the amount of win Hawks have won since 2020.

he wont last if he produces anything less than this. 1 or 2 wins this year and he has to go.

Interesting that we get the easiest draw for being last, but we still cop a double up against Geelong!   We play Melbourne once but Geelong twice ...
No wonder they make the 8 every year ...     ::)

We had to double up against one of the top six

Why?
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

it means he hasnt learnt anything from last year (game plan, structure, team moral)  and his pick for fitness has failed him again.

Its not too much to ask to win at least 4 games next year

His first year was super embarrasing for him (esp the first half), and he better wake up as that rubbish shouldnt be tolerated.

Going into next year, our list will have significantly weakened losing players to trade and retirement and not sure where you are getting Flukey Lukey being his choice?
I agree with the comments on game style and personally think with a decent run on injuries we should hit that win/loss mark.
I am not a fan of sacking him next year - no matter the circumstances. He’s been sold a complete pup here and we are at risk of ruining his career as a senior coach - much in the way the Lions ruined Leppa.
We are obligated to do everything we can to help him regather his confidence and set him up for success.

Giving a bloke a list full of senior players who are either checked out, injured or on their last legs was soley on the shoulders of the club’s management and administrators.
We should move beyond the symptoms of the problem
