The annual Metropolitan Fire Brigade v Victoria Police Charity Cup football match will be held at Punt Road on Sunday, July 2 from 11am in the lead-up to that afternoon’s Richmond-Collingwood ‘Blockbuster’ at the MCG.

Apart from watching Victoria’s finest footballing firefighters and police battle it out on the hallowed Punt Road Oval turf, there will be a stack of other highlights, including emergency vehicles on display, police dogs, Milo give-aways, Red Bull give-aways, a special Playstation bus, free Fire Brigade showbags, an Auskick clinic at half-time, conducted by AFL players, face painting, raffles and a sausage sizzle.

The MFB side will be coached by AFL great Bernie Quinlan and he will be assisted by former Melbourne player Bret Bailey, who is now a firefighter.

Entry is by gold coin donation, and all proceeds will go to Richmond’s “Tigers in Community Foundation”.

In the lead-up to the Charity Cup clash, special blue and red wristbands can be purchased from the Club at a cost of $2 each.
