I didn’t realise there had to be a European quota filled

there is a woman quota and an indigenous quota

Certainly a lawyer quota

Why would there not be a non anglo quota ? Especially considering alot of  our members are non anglo

I believe the best qualified people for the board should make up the board

If that’s entirely woman, fine. If that’s a board entirely indigenous fine. Entirely Europeans, fine.

Couldn’t care where they come from.

If the best qualified people are Anglo Saxon Aussie males aged between 35-60, then they should make up the board.

I hate modern day quotas.

Ask them where to draw the line, not me

When they open the door to this garbage, it cannot be closed, which is actually my point actually

They have discrimated for a group of people, which by definition means they have discriminated against others

This is the problem, our club can't even say Merry Christmas any more

No I don't think there's an indigenous quota. I think having a bloke who's been heavily involved in the KGI which is one of the Club's most important programs and has the necessary contacts is smart busoness

I am aware that the Club has said they'd like at least half the board to be women but I have heard them say it was set in stone.

I think that having 2 people on the board who have experience either running elite sporting competitions or being on the board of other sporting bodies is a good thing. The fact that the 2 Directors in question are women is irrelevant. Would also think having a person who was involved in developing 3-0-75 plan on the board is smart as they've proven they have the skill set required for strategic planning again gender should have no bearing

As I keep saying it is about getting the best people, gender is irrelevant.

Please enlighten me about the lawyer quota, seriously have no doea how you came up with that.

"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. Then after answering you appear to ask a totally different question as to whether the current board members are the best people for the job?

Which you would appear to you they aren't not based on their skill set but based on their gender and being indigenous or to a some mysterious "lawyer" quota
