Surely better than Dow...

Really if he was not such a high pick what criteria would he need to meet to get a game with any club.

Its all about the boxes do they tick enough and what is a non negotiable nowdays to be able to play successfully at the level

We have our share of slow mids who struggle to transition from the inside to outside. i think Hobbs and Phillips will just add to that problem just like Sonsie Dow and Ross do.

Will Philips delisted (former pick 3 )

23 yoa

Will is a local boy out here in the East. He was best midfielder in his draft year. Unfortunately a bit like Hobbs in a way, didn't develop further physically and that really hurts you as an inside mid. I mean there are worse gambles than either of these two but a bit similar to Paddy Dow. If you're an inside mid nowadays you really need to have significant size about you. Can't compete with the JPK, Cripps, Bont, Dunkley, Steele, etc.

Serong is probably the exception but he has pace about him which both Phillips and Hobbs do not. In saying that I'd be happy to see either of them rookied to Punt Road.

I get your logic but would rather rookie potential rucks
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”
