Sam Gayfer has provisionally broken the AFL Draft Combine record for the running vertical jump with a leap of 114cm - 1cm better than Leek Aleer’s record. Gayfer leads both running vertical jumps & standing vertical jump.

McGroder equaled Aleer’s record.

Interesting, HVH isn’t quite dominating like he was talked up to do.

Drever is showing out. 8th in time trial, 5th in running vertical, 7th in vertical, 5th in 20m sprint. Agility the only one he hasn’t been top10 in.

I really hope Tyson Bradley is available at our second or third pick.
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

I’m still harping on about Gus Kennedy…..
Stingrays skipper Gus Kennedy did his draft prospects no harm, despite bravely battling an illness that he kept him bedridden in the lead up to the three-day testing window.

Kennedy has drawn Jordan Dawson comparisons throughout his draft year, and showed some of Dawson's trademark grit in running a 6:35 2km time trial, after failing to finish a 10-minute run earlier in the week, such was his condition.

Harry Van Hattum's interview from 3:10 to 7:13 min mark where he talks about our interest in him.

https://www.afl.com.au/video/1627134

-------------------------------------------------

HvH CATCHES RICHMOND'S EYE

Potential top draft pick Harry van Hattum has detailed Richmond's interest in him, but he says he doesn't yet have a clear indication of where he will go in next month's Telstra AFL Draft.

The Tigers, who currently hold the No.2 pick in the draft, have already brought van Hattum through their facilities and had him go through vision with ruck coach and player development manager Ivan Maric earlier in the year.

Richmond is also one of multiple clubs, including Essendon – who has the No.1 pick in this year's pool – who is set to undergo home visits with van Hattum in the lead-up to November's draft.

The 205cm prospect, who enjoyed a fantastic season with the Northern Knights, Vic Metro and at school level with Ivanhoe Grammar, is viewed among a handful of players in the top tier of talent ahead of the national draft.

"I have home visits with both [Essendon and Richmond]," van Hattum told AFL.com.au's Gettable on Saturday.

"I've spent a fair bit of time with Richmond. I've gone in there a few times and done some vision with Ivan Maric and some ruck stuff with him.

"But apart from that, there hasn't really been one (club) that's stood out a lot more than any other. We'll wait and see how the next couple of months goes and see what happens."

Draft Chats #9 is up, with Eastern Ranges midfielder turned utility Archie Spencer.

Had a chat with him about his 2026 season, his move around the ground and where he sees himself at the next level. A really versatile late draft prospect with plenty to like.

I'd be really happy with Arki Butler.

The game has evolved that damaging touches are just gold. Murphy Reid role/types.

HVH I have gone cold on, the fact he's 3rd highest rated ruckman for actual ruck work worries me, I wouldn't be wasting a pick 2 on that profile, not doubting he could be a seriously good player but I think at pick 2 he has an element of risk that isn't worth taking on.

I'd roll dice with Arki Butler. Drever looks unreal in highlights but 24% contested possessions is really low for a top 20 midfielder. Saw an interview where they said that anyone under 30% contested possessions as a top 10 pick has gone on to be somewhat disappointing. Cale Morton types. You have to be absolutely elite on outside as a junior to make it at AFL level as even the elite outsiders like Holmes / Whitfield have had decent contested numbers as juniors.

I'd go Arki. Him and Lalor rotating fwd and mid would be delicious weaponary.
Go Tigers!

Interesting scrolling Instagram tonight and seeing this…

Marlon Neocleous has been widely likened to Nick Watson this year - but he points to three other players he models his game on before the Hawthorn small forward.

That’s an interesting stat about Drever which I wasn’t aware of. I know in his massive 39 disposal game, he had 23 contested possessions which is almost 60% so that must have been a massive outlier if his avg is down around 25%
