Foley Rising Star Nomination

Well Foley's doing heaps better than I thought he would. I kept saying he would turn into another Craig Ednie  because of his size  but he's obvously worked hard in the gym to reach 80kgs. All credit to Nathan  .

Only one to recognise Nathan Foley's effort in the middle last week on Fox Footy tonight
Said he was absolutely fabulous with his clearances.

Pretty poor effort by the rest of the media not to highlight his efforts last week, so good on you Jason

He'll probably be overlooked again because we got beaten convincingly but IMO Foley did himself no harm for a rising star nomination in the next couple of weeks.

A club is allowed more than two nominees. Port Adelaide have had three this year - Pearce, Symes and Surjan.

Foley just needs to keep up his consistency and in a week where there's no obvious standouts he'll get nominated. Moody and Port's Chaplin stood out this week.

The eligible criteria is they've played no more than 10 games and under 21 years of age at January 1 of that season. Foley had only played 6 matches prior to this year so he's eligible.
