Terry in the USA?? he must have total faith in miller!
« on: October 06, 2006, 11:53:28 AM »
i find it strange that terry is in the states holidaying and perusing various different codes to help him get the edge as an afl coach during this time of year!  draft camp trade week ect.
he must have total faith in miller and co to pick up and trade who he wants or is on is wish list.
lets hope he comes back a happy man !

Gotta say I agree with you X.

I am not surprised if he misses trade week but surprised he is not at the draft camp.

I read that only Tezza and John Worsfold are not at the draft camp

maybe tezza and miller already know who they want and draft camp is just a formality but the the be all and end all

I'd guess you'd really only need to be at the draft camp to meet and interview the youngsters face to face and judge their attitude and character. Not watching 17-18 year old getting measured, jumping up and hitting a flap on a pole, running back and forth over 20m and running 3km isn't a big deal provided the club has at least a senior person there (Miller). The clubs get the results anyway and Wallace isn't in Siberia miles away from a phone lol. Since Plough has been coach he seems to have great faith in Miller to be a good judge of character when it comes recruits. Everyone would have seen these kids play footy over the past couple of years. The draft camp results will help clubs work out their pecking order for the draft.

A bit like Tommy Hafey having complete faith in Mr. G. Richmond's recruiting and talent spotting ability.
