Welcome to OER crackertiger  :).

I'm going for ...

4. Tawqeet
23. Maybe Better
11. On a Jeune

Not sure if Efficient is a definite starter yet so I left it out.

I like the form of Mandela out of the Geelong Cup.

Won very easily like Oliver did on Media Puzzle in the Geelong Cup, and then went on to win the Melbourne Cup.

Has been bought over from New Zealand especially for the cup and has had a good lead up to the race with solid work since the start of April and being freshened for 2-3 weeks between races.

I have followed Activation through the carnival also. Was a good run just behind Tawqeet in the Metrop and also the Caulfield Cup, so i think i will be backing the both of them.

Also taking a flexi boxed first 4 and hoping for some roughies  :thumbsup

Can someone inform me of this new betting type where you can just go the field for a trifecta and not have to pay the full amount but you get like a percentage of the ticket...as you can see i am an experienced gambler. ;D

Its called Flexi betting Ramps and it applies to other bet types also.

I think the best way to describe it is if you want to place a bet trifecta, quaddie, first 4 etc and when you have these multiples type of bets the costs add up very quickly. So if the full value of your bet comes to $100 (make it even for example sake) and you only want to put $10 on the bet then you are only entitled to 10% of the dividend if you happen to win.

So if it pays $1000, you would get $100 back for your $10.

I hope this makes sense.

Great way to bet  :thumbsup

Ramps,

it woudl cost $720 to do a boxed trifecta for 10 horses.

24 would be huge, not even worth thinking about.

if you picked out 10 horses and put $72 on it you would get 10%, maybe pick 6 chances and 4 rouchies.

So it's Activation for me :rollin

And because Boss is riding it - I think Zipping is worth a look

And just on aside regarding the above ............. I know absolutely NOTHING about horse racing  :help ;D

LOL @ the crowd booing the jockeys as they were being presented before the race. That's shocking! Only Damien Oliver got some sort of a cheer.
