Shame not all Tigers run out onto the ground every time they play with the same endeavour and workrate as Kingy.

Agreed. Jakey is a beauty.

He, Foley & Thursty (all former rookies BTW) put many of our more costly footballers to shame.

Continue to set the standard for intensity, and improve disposal to hurt teams with his possessions.

seriously u have to love the way this guy goes about his business.

he looks like he gives 200% every time he steps onto the field.

if wallace had half a brain he would show a tape of kingy to the rest of the senior players

He'd want to start showing his opponent a little more respect than he did on Friday night.  He'll be back at Coburg soon enough if he doesn't do his defensive job first.

He improved through the game, but he needs to make sure he closes his opponent down first and then starts focussing on all teh other stuff.

its just the effort more that i like. the chase, run, tackle. there are players so much more bigger, taller than him that dont put in anywhere near as much effort as this little man

So far Kingy is carrying on his good form last year. Probably our best and most consistent player over all 3 preseason games so far :clapping

from what l see & watch him closely cause his my sons favorite players is that he has better skills & is more direct with sending the ball out of the backline to attack than some of our more senior players & he will ruff his opponant up every chance
you know what
l will make a statement here & now that Kingy might win his first JD medal this year & thats a huge call from me  :P
Thats how much confidence l have in his aggressive play & style his always saving our asses & yes he makes a mistake but he always backs it up with something better
he plays for the jumper thats all l can say
l gunna put my money on Kingy  :thumbsup

its so funny u said that tm about kingy, cause i was thinking the same thing.

man i love this guys attitude to footy. He is slowly turning into my favourite player at Punt Road.

He is gutzy and reminds me of a andy collins of the hawks era.

going to be a great player for sure

If Kingy were to win the JDM I hope it's because he's had spells in the midfield and given some highly fancied opposition midfielders hell rather than because the ball spent a lot of time in our defence.

well sorry to say this but our forwards dont know how to hold the ball in the forward line & our midfielder lack communication so l expect it to be getting cleared by Kingy to set up our flankers to creat goals

look its a longshot that a small defender like him would gather the votes but if he were to become a creator down there its a whole new ballgame  ;D

I reckon one of the big advantages that Kingy has is he came from suburban footy. Take no prisoners, tough and uncompromising local footy. Where the basic mean everything and the flair isn't as important

Well that's my take anyway
