no offence mate but seriously how can you constantly defend this guy.
he is a complete waste of time and our clubs money.
he gets paid well by the rfc and has delivered sweet ..... all.

he is the one of the most useless footballers if thats what u call him,  to walk into Punt Road

None taken.

But if a players is given instructions game day on how to play and gaining poseessions is not part of the criteria and they then play to those instructions how can you be critical of the number of possessions they get. :-\

Promising. Saw some really good things from the Sarge without being absolutely blown away. Didn't look out of place in defence. Could be more than handy, he's a very useful sort of player and a good size, has a presence on the field. Fingers crossed.

regardless what many think about sarge, he does have the talent and what it takes, all he needs is work ethic and application. he will be ok, now that he knows he was just about traded and has been given a 2nd chance

Schulz looked quite comfortable at CHB. Read the play reasonable well, showed good skills and looked very agile at ground level. Really hope Terry perseveres with Sarge at CHB and Cleve at FF.  :clapping

Schulz is holding up CHB for now. Rance will take it from him. Schulz should have been traded last year for p28.

Like RROFO pleased with his game at CHB. Liked the fact he finally did the team things. I had to do a double-take when he lead hard into space on the wing in the first quarter lol. Sarge has the skills but it's up to him to show he now has the fitness and smarts to stack up against the best forward lines. Carlton have one of the worst.

We need a spare parts man like that, but personally I feel he is better suited in the backline. That is not to say he can't be used as a pinch hitter up forward but he needs to lift his work rate and application as I feel it may be his last chance at AFL.

Noticed in EOTT that for the second week in a row Plough has Schulz as his "surprise packet". It might be a scarey thought for some lol but Jay is probably near the lead in our B&F after two rounds  :outtahere.

How's My Trade Value: Jay Schulz

How's My Trade Value: Jay Schulz
aflinsider.net | July 11th 2008

Why their team should trade them:

They probably already should have traded him, they decided not to a year ago and may have another chance after the 2008 season. He isn't a regular in the Richmond side, they have given him enough chances and would be better served by going with other players now, like J Riewoldt and Rance.

Which team would be a good fit:

Port Adelaide wanted him, and with Tredrea getting old and White possibly on the way out they do need more height.

Similar trade in the past:

He was nearly on his way to Port Adelaide a year ago, for a late second round pick, so that gives some idea of his trade value. Richmond may not get as good an offer this time. Playfair and C Gardiner were a couple of key position players who were traded last year, their trade value ranged from a late draft pick to being given away.

Possible trade scenarios:

To Richmond: The Power's third round pick
To Port Adelaide: Jay Schulz

To Richmond: Cain Ackland
To Carlton: Jay Schulz

To Richmond: Ryan Murphy
To Fremantle: Jay Schulz

I already commented on the aflinsider website about this.

If Schulz could only attract hAckland in a trade, then you'd delist him.
And you may not think I care for you

you wouldnot trade Shulzs for any of them players, his form warrants a early 2 round pick at the least.
Advatages is he can play forward / defence & is still a good age.
If he wanted to further his career Port Adelaide really need him need year but l think it would take thier first or second pick  ;D
