It is not good in terms of exposure for the club. I thought the main reason for playing night/twilight games was the TV exposure and in reality not a lot of punters have pay tv nor could afford it.

As for me I have foxtel but I will be at all the games bar the skunks (nightshift) but we have a free to air tellie at work so all good for mwa  :thumbsup

I have Foxtel, but I think this sucks.
Are we going to get our FoxFooty channel back again does anyone know?

Fox Footy is no longer Moi - it's like Suga - GAWN

All AFL will be on Fox Sports 3.

They will have:

* The Winners
* On the Couch
* League Teams
* And a new show on Friday Nights at 6.30 called "Before the Bounce"
* plus their live games & replays but that will be all

The Pies get all of their first 6 games on Free-to-Air tellie  ::)  :scream.

Carlton get the same as us - 4 of their first 6 on pay-tv. Saints will have 18-19 games on FTA this year.

i think ppl are too precious

bloody hell, when 7 won the rights over 9 and foxtel, ppl were going bananas, screaming whinging crying, on many forums, and in papers, ppl were crying out and shouting out at their disgust that foxfooty was gonbe, 9 was gone and 7 was in.

now that fox is back, ppl are whinging and whining again.

u cant please everyone and as andy d says this is the best deal.

we should be happy that all 8 games will be played, in full over 3 networks, ppv and fta.

how ppl tend to forget the old days, when we got sweet fa on tv, and were lucky to even get a highlights package............  who remembers those days, i sure do.

so as andy says, if u wanna watch footy, buy foxtel, if u cant, go to th egames live, if u cant do that, do what i used to do as a kid and listen to the radio. and read the papers

I'm not worried about that from a personal view. I remember too when 1.5 hours of Seven's big league with Peter Landy was all you got when all 6 VFL games were played on a Saturday arvo. I'm more interested in how the FTA/pay games are distributed b/w clubs. St Kilda says they will get 18-19 FTA games while we'll be around the half mark (10-12 games) looking at our draw. Collingwood probably has nearly all 22 on FTA  ::). More FTA coverage means more viewers which is better for your sponsors.

Even though I'm not a foxtel owner, here in NSW I seem to fair a bit better than most of you in VIC without foxtel. I get 1 live tiger match (Swans R2) and 2 delayed full games (R3,R4 11:30pm). Pretty much same old same old. No real difference to the previous consortium.
