IMO this reaction by the media to Jack giving the bird and especially his go at Dusty is way over the top and the cynic me sees it as an attempt to destabilise the side and Jack. Yeah he gave the bird when he shouldn't have and was silly to do so but just two weeks ago after kicking 6 goals he was our golden boy superstar yet; now after concussion the week before and in hindsight playing when he shouldn't have on Saturday night as he clearly wasn't right, he's according to the media got some serious behaviourial issue that need addressing  ??? ::). Sorry but it seems those outside Richmond and particularly the media see an opportunity to get into Jack's head and create a story which doesn't exist. Jack just needs to focus on the footy and be answerable internally to the team. His attack on the footy last weekend like many of his teammates was substandard so that's what he needs to get back to this week. Worrying about and trying the appease external factors such as how the media perceive him and their claim his on-field attitude is "Richo-like" ::) is irrelevant to that objective.

As for Jack's "spat" with Dusty ... ummm I remember Hodge and Mitchell against us at 1/4 time in 2008 in a very heated discussion which the media made a big deal about yet the Hawks stood firm saying what's the big deal and 6 weeks later they all had a premiership medallion around their neck. In the heat of battle sometimes teammates have a go at each other. It happens all the time and as long as it doesn't linger beyond the moment then we really didn't need to drag Jack out in front of the media in the boardroom to publicly apologise to teammates when all this could and should have been handled in house. As a club you show a united what's the big deal front to the media and don't air your laundry in public. Now everytime we lose and Jack doesn't kick a bag, the media will focus on his on-field behaviour  :sleep

MT his problem goes beyond football. He needs some reprograming
He didn't need reprogramming last season or after round 1 this year. His attitude as training is great and very team oriented getting the team talk up. He copped severe enough concussion the previous week which affected his sleep and in hindsight should've been rested on the weekend. It's pretty common for players to be affected the following week after suffering concussion. Jack clearly wasn't right on Saturday night.

As for lambasting teammates - well lucky I wasn't out there as I wouldn't have held back either after witnessing 3 hours of the braindead crap we were playing especially in  the midfield. Sheesh how many times did a Richmond player think it was good enough to make one lame effort at the loose footy going to ground missing the ball completely and then watching his Hawthorn opponent pick the pill up and run away under no pressure  :banghead. We just had no idea and no ability to handle those wet conditions.

They were good but their competition (us) wasn't much on Saturday night and us is all I care about.

Richmond full-forward Jack Riewoldt has accepted a $900 fine for the lewd gesture he made when coming off the field during the second quarter of the Tigers' loss to Hawthorn on Saturday night.

The whole thing is absolute crap.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Quartermain: "What would you say to Jack Riewoldt this week?"

Walls: "You're playing at centre half-back this week."

 ???

lmao Walls - the idiot says the first thing that pops into his mind.

more like the only thing that pops into his mind.

Read in todays paper that Mckenna had a go at Walls and his stupidity.

"Those people are uneducated who want to say things..."

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
